Should Canada adopt an annual minimum wage/income?

  • Yes, Canada Should

Canada should adopt an annual minimum wage. As an advanced industrialized country, Canada has a responsibility to its citizens. The government needs to ensure that living standards keep pace or ahead of inflation. This is an issue of a living wage, and the economy would benefit from people having more money to spend.

  • No they should not.

I do not believe in minimum wage. This kind of wage is bad for the economy in that it forces companies to do all sort of deceptive hiring practices. They do not give enough hours and give too many breaks. If you made less money you could work more and have enough to live on.
