  • Yes cell phone use should be banned

Cell phones can cause serious injuries that can even cause death. Imagine driving on the highway. There is this driver in front of you. The look like they are getting in the next lane. But no the quickly turn back to the original lane. You brake because they are so close to you. This is an example of driving while on a cell phone. This person is constantly looking down to their phone and not paying attention to the road.

  • Cell Phone Use While Driving Is Dangerous

I believe since cell phones have become so popular we have seen a lot of incidents where cell phones have caused catastrophic accidents. I believe we are far better to ban their use for driver's than to continue having accidents caused by them. It is impossible to drive with your full attention, if you are using a cell phone at the same time.

  • Yes they should

I definitely think that cell phones should be banned from people driving cars. It is a huge distraction. It is really dangerous and many people think nothing of it when they use their phones while driving. I think that hands free devices work ok, but can also be distracting too.

Operating a cell phone while attempting to drive a car is very dangerous because it takes the focus of drivers away from the road. Motor vehicles, when operated improperly can be very dangerous and even deadly. It's very important that, while driving, people eliminate as many distractions as possible in order to minimize risks.

Some studies have shown that the distraction is so bad that it is as if driving under the influence. Needless to say, this is terrible and should be stopped.

  • Cell Phones Should Not Be Banned

No, people choose to drive carless and some don't but the ones who do their making that choice to drive while on the phone, and what if you get an important call like your child has gotten hurt or maybe even kidnapped, or what if something happened wth a family member

  • No. i do not believe that cell phone use should be banned by drivers operating a car.

No. I do not believe that cell phone use should be banned by drivers operating a car, because that is a law that would be almost impossible to enforce. It would be a waste of time, and money for the government to even consider, or deliberate on such a law.

  • Banning cell phones for drivers is ridiculous

There is such a desire by the state and municipal governments to try and take as much money from their constituencies as they can. But moreso, those not from the area. It is all to easy for a ticket to be given to someone for something that is intended to "protect them and the public", and demand their money in return. This is ridiculous. No one can tell citizens when they can use their cell phones.

  • Too hard to enforce

Banning cell phones is for drivers on the road is not necessary as it would be almost impossible to enforce without infringing on the rights of American citizens and breaking the right to privacy (as implied by the 9th Amendment). Banning cell phones for drivers will not make things better either.
