  • Yeah of course they should get paid

If we pay our children, they could buy more school supplies
and that would give them motives to study harder in school. If we dont pay them, they will try harder and keep pushing themselves until they think too hard. And if they never get rewarded, they wont feel special so yeah.

  • Debate This You

It causes us to be finically troubled and we can't support the hem with other true stuff they need such as real school supplies but these juveniles will spend it for cod and gta5 so no.We need to stop paying our kids for good grades and they should pay us for good grade

  • Hardwork leads to GOOD GRADES!!

Hobestly guys. After studying for days and days to get good marks, to make your parents and yourself proud, don't you think we all deserve a prize? Don't we deserve to be paid? Well, I personally consider being a student a lot of work. It's madness! And also, if we get paid, then we will be motivated to study harder

  • Of course they should get paid for grades,

It'll be an inspiration to study for most kids. When I went to school and got straight A's, I would automatically get money from the family. So, our grades were high and we got into a successful college, my brother and I. Hopefully kids will be successful and learn more, which is what everyone wants.

  • Yes they should get paid

Kids will learn how to be responsible. Parents could turn this into a test at home. They could see if their children would lose the money or not. Students will also try a lot harder to good grades. Students would listen to their teachers because they do no think it is a waste of time. It does not have to be a lot of money, it can be like 5 dollars a month. These kids are not being rewarded for having D's and F's. This would help the parents out also because if kids want something at the store they could show them to use their money wisely. This would also help parents could use the money to help kids with math. They put down different amounted bills and tell their kids to add it up.

  • Yes they should

I think kids should get paid for good grades because, if they don't get paid they have no encouragement. With no encouragement, they give no attention, and with no attention, they dot learn. Think of it this way.Without money kids act out because they think they don't have a reason. If they get money they will most likely pay more attention

  • Yes they should

You get money for being in school and your staying in school so your'e getting two things in once, cash and education. So i think its best because your getting a lot in the long run and most people dont see it like that but other do and thats why its good

  • No child should get paid for grades.

I don't think that by paying our kids to get good grades is sending the right message to them. Some children will get good grades and not crack a book open because they just "get it". Other children might work extremely hard and not get a good grade. Not due to hard work, but because they just don't grasp it. Paying our children to get good grades would just put undue stress on them and put too much of an emphasis on money. There is already too much of that in this world.

  • No go to school for an education

Kids don't come to school for money if that's the case then what the point of school if you do good in school you will be able to get a good job when you get older and get lots of money for really working and you will appreciate the real fact in to earning money and not form your parents pockets

  • No they should not get paid

Kids should go to school o matter what. They should go to school to get good grades to get far in life. They should go to school to get a good education and learn. I feel if students get paid to go to school that's only what there going to school for. They will only learn from school if they try hard and do it for themselves, and not for the money.

  • Good grades benefit the child, not the parent

No, I do not believe that child should get paid for grades. This is, however, a good way to motivate the child into receiving of good grades. It should be stressed to children that their grades will ultimately benefit them in the future. Granted, school, I believe is the sole job of children, they get paid for this job by all their bills being paid and being taken care of by their parents.

  • No, children should not get paid for grades.

I believe that children should not get paid for grades. They should want to get grades simply for the feeling of accomplishment of getting good grades. If they are paid, they won't value the hard work that goes into getting good grades. Kids should get money later in life for work, not for grades.

  • No, children should not be paid for grades.

No, children should not get paid for their grades. Ultimately their future successes will be dependent on their ability to derive motivation from success itself rather than financial gain. By paying students for grades we are teaching them that the only reward worth working for is monetary, which will create a culture of money obsessed perfectionists rather than one that is about interest, passion, contributing to the well being of humanity, and self-fulfillment.

  • No, there is not reason to pay children for good grades.

No, children should not be paid for their grades. This creates a belief that every good job will be immediately rewarded which is not the way that the adult world works.

Learning should be its own reward, and an outstanding report card along with some parental praise should be the only acknowledgment that a child needs to receive for the accomplishment. It's hard to create intrinsic motivation when they are always looking for a monetary reward for any achievement.
