It isn't that football player or any other players are used to make lots of money for the school and not receive anything for it.

  • Only For Merchandise

They have to work hard to make their names known and then some business is going to take all of their hard work to sell jerseys and the players don't see a dollar. They should only get paid for merchandise though, and not for playing. They shouldn't get paid just for playing. By getting paid for merchandise I mean that the business that sells it should pay them and not the NCAA itself.

  • YES they should

They practice more than any other player in the NFL and some college kids sing songs after they win what do NFL players shake hands and walk in a locker room back to the practice some colleges practice 5 times a day that is not a lot of time for a side job

  • No they should not

If the players are good enough at the sport, they most likely would have received a scholarship to play football for them. Most of these kids on college football teams won't even make the NFL. Education should be their priority as it will probably be their only chance to have a well-paying job in their future.

  • No they shouldn't

While they practice and spend a good portion of time during football season getting better for the team and playing games I don't think they should be paid. Most receive scholarships which are worth tens of thousands of dollars which is plenty enough pay for their services on the team. Also their main focus should be their studies towards their lifelong career as only a select few will make it into the NFL.
