Should companies be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor in China?

  • They are not us ...

Companies should use cheap Chinese labor to appease their stockholders, who want to make money. What problems? I'm pulling in a profit!
Companies are obligated to earn as much money for the shareholders. If that means cutting down on labor costs, so be it.
Also, The Core rules over all, and we're taking over the universe.

  • It causes life-threatening problems

Companies should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor in China because some employees have to face harsh conditions in factories, companies abduct children for work, and workers get paid poorly. Because employees face harsh conditions in factories, companies in China should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor in China. One of the Chinese workers in a factory in China got out of the factory. When he was being questioned about what it was like in a factory in China, he said, “Employees at the plant are often subjected to lethal working conditions, such as the screen-cleaning solution n-hexane, a neurotoxin” (Thechannels.Org). N-hexane is a neurotoxin that can cause nervous system failure, muscular weakness and vision impairment. That chemical is inside the factory, which is toxic to the workers’ health. Some children are forced to work illegally, so companies should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor in China. One of the reporters from the Channels.Org website was exploring China. When he came back, he said, “The minimum age to legally work in China is 16 years old, yet children as young as 13 have been found working at Foxconn factories, which is a chinese company” (Thechannels.Org). Some companies are forcing children under sixteen to work in factories, which is against the law. The chinese government is not doing anything about it, which is why companies should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor. Considering that workers get paid poorly, Chinese companies should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor. According to a man, “ Labor, …. , gets cheaper and cheaper which benefits the multinational companies, but not the workers themselves” (Globalissues.Org). Companies use workers to make more profit, not to help people earn money. Because some employees face harsh conditions in factories, companies abduct children for work, and workers get paid poorly in companies in China, they should not be allowed to take advantage of cheap labor.
