  • We want FREEDOM, because it is our duty to protect our country, therefore we should not be forced to do so.

In my opinion, I strongly believe that the Australian government should not enforce conscription, because conscription separates families, against religions and it is our duty to protect our country, therefore we should not be forced to do so. Can you imagine your loved ones dead in a place they do not belongs to?
    War?

Firstly, I strongly believe that the Australian Government shouldn’t enforce conscription, because twelve year olds to sixteen year olds are too young to be trained for war and this time of age is about 4% of their life. Can you imagine how worst it will be when the government forced us to went to the war, instead let us be educated, just because adults between eighteen and forty are afraid to go to war?

  • We don't need it

Forcing people (most of whom don't want to fight) to go into the army, go through training, go to a different country, and kill other people, and be expected to die for their country, without their consent is cruel. But do we need it? The last war we were in direct danger was the war of 1812- even in WWII we weren't in direct danger of invasion (yet). Any war we fight would most likely be in another country, and we likely wouldn't even use soldiers that much. We have drones and other technology that reduces the need for human soldiers. But forced army participation is cruel and violates the right to life.

  • No Forced Service

Compulsory military service is among the most inhumane things a society can impose upon its young people. It is immoral to choose people and force them to fight and die without their agreeing to do so. It is a terrible practice which should be wiped out from all countries on earth.

  • Only justice will bring peace.

Well it is simply stupid and makes people think that it is the only way to protect the balance of power. Nothing is actually compulsory. People obey it because they want to. All those arguments in favor of conscription are just an excuse for hiding the truth that they are afraid. Everyone wants freedom. Some just do not have the courage to remember and remind.

  • Freedom has a price tag.

Depending on the circumstances, it may be required that an army large enough to protect the nation and its people be raised and maintained. Not all countries need conscription but, for those that do, such as Greece, Cyprus, Singapore, or Israel, sacrificing some liberties for national defence is necessary. In those instances survival from rather hostile or unfriendly neighbours and national independence from military incursions comes first and individual wishes and desires come a dead second. And that is the price tag for that nation's freedom, whether people like it or not. Because if the nation is not free, neither will its citizen or resident, permanent or otherwise.
