No employee should have to tolerate abuse, nobody should have to tolerate abuse be it verbal or physical. If the employee is being rude towards the customer, that still does not give the customer reason to be violent. The employee should be reported and be left for the employer to take care of. It doesn't matter whether the customer has weapons or not, if they are being aggressive to employers be it verbal or physical, they should be asked to leave and possibly even face prosecution. If the employee started yelling at customers and attacking them, they would be fired on the spot, there would be no debate about it, so why should employees have to take it from customers?
Nobody should be subjected to harassment or mistreatment while at work. Yes, businesses want to please their customers, but they should not do so at the expense of their employees' well being. Fast food employees should be allowed protection from aggressive customers. Depending on the severity of the incident, the unruly customers should be told to leave the restaurant, and in some cases face prosecution.
I think it might depend on how irate the customer is getting. If they are coming out swinging punches or threatening with a gun or a knife then, yes, they should have protection. On the other hand some issues might be able to be solved without the need for any kind of violence.
Yes, fast food employees should be allowed protection from aggressive customers. Fast food employees should not be harmed just like other people should not be harmed. If a person is threatening an employee, this employee should be protected at work. A lot of people who work n fast food have other jobs as well, they deserve to be treated properly.
Yes, fast food employees should be protected from aggressive customers. It is not part of their job description or their training to deal with difficult or unruly customers. Individual companies should be responsible for providing a certain level of security for their employees and if needed, law enforcement should become involved.-
