Should feminism move its fight out of the western world?

Asked by: JiffyCones
  • Of course they should.

The definition of feminism is 'the advocacy of WOMEN'S RIGHTS on the grounds of social, political, and economic equality to men.'

Well guess what: Women have all the rights and privileges men have and MORE. At least in the western world. Women win custody more often, revieve more lenient sentences from the judicial system even for the same exact crime as a man, aren't demonized as pedophiles from just sitting next to a child, and much more.

If feminism is truly worried about women's rights, they should take their fight to third-world countries where women can be jailed, or even killed, for being raped, are lawfully required to have 4 men speak for them in cases of sexual assault, are treated like cattle to be bought and sold, and their word is only considered worth half a mans.

On the flip-side, men are the majority of murder victims, assault victims, suicide victims, the homeless, are less likely to graduate from or even get into college and are falling behind girls in school in general, and are presumed guilty until proven innocent in cases of sexual assault and harassment.

Be definition, and through its action/inaction, feminism doesn't give two craps about men's suffering. Instead they complain about verifiable myths like the pay gap, rape culture, and some overarching patriarchy.

  • I believe there is no problem with "Feminism".

Why shouldn't women have equal rights? I think if feminism did spread then women could have a chance at being treated equally all around the world. This same concept would apply if it was men being treated unfairly. Every person on this planet is equal and deserves to be treated equally and that is not happening in some countries. Technically, yes, women DO have equality in a way. We all do, but the problem is some people aren't acting like that. Even though we all know that every human is equal, that doesn't mean we are going to be treated like we are. Although I don't think this would be an easy task it is possible to accomplish this goal.

  • Feminism is needed, but in the other LEDC's countries

Everyone on earth should have equal rights and values. Women should not be considered inferior to men, but rather equal. Countries like Syria, Iraq or Pakistan (Islamic Extreme Countries or something like that) need feminism. Western countries also need feminism, but the other countries are in dire need of human equal rights and feminism

  • This is so clear

It's just apparent in basically all parts of society. You can see tons of articles on both sides of the argument, women being treated unfairly or not. All those that say they still need feminism have been factual refuted by the other side and all the feminists do is create new arguments with as little or as skewed data as the first one. That's if they actually aren't lazy enough to just name drop some irrelevant term like "patriarchy" or "sexism is everywhere". Those people haven't created a new argument in years. They need to move somewhere that women are actually disrespected like the middle east or certian parts of Africa.

  • Feminism Must End.

Feminism is utterly retarded, at leas in America (I'm not sure about other western countries.) They want equal pay... Well let me ask you: do they do equal work? No, men do the hard work and labor. And hard labor usually means more money. Feminists son't want to be equal, they want to be superior.

  • Very much needed

Feminism by law is illegal most everywhere in the western world by law men and women are equal but its about the little shit that happens every day like cat calling or slut shaming or being blamed for rape and things like that. Even if you might not be sexist, someone else might be. I see it in the STEM world; professors who treat women differently than men when they ask a question, its the little stuff
