• Gay Marriage is Biblically Immoral

The Bible clearly condemns homosexuality, from the story of Lot, all the way into the New Testament, in the writings of Paul - in various books, 1 Corinthians and Romans included. There are no approved examples of gay marriages in the Bible. Homosexuality is a perversion of what is right.

  • Not depending on religion.

No. It should not be illegal. Why should it be? Because it goes against The Bible? Or other religions? Bullshit. Religion has been the cause of several bad things in the past, present, and most likely in the future. If two people truly love each other, they should marry, whether it's a same gender marriage, or a straight marriage.

  • It Shouldn't be Illegal Anywhere Else, Too

I firmly believe that homosexuals have every right that heteralsexuals have to marry in the US, so therefore, illegalizing it, for me, sounds like evil. I don't care if they can't have kids, so it goes against nature--humans are already an overpopoulated species! Isn't the US, of all countries, supposed to be a free country? If we make gay marriage illegal, why don't we just start using slaves again? LEAVE GAYS ALONE, WORLD!!!!!

  • People can marry

The idea that marriage, a traditionally religious ceremony, is a state matter is somewhat incongruous to the US as a whole - for both straight and gay couple. This being said, if straight couples can get married, gays should also be allowed to do so alongside - there is no reason not to other than personal distaste on the part of some.

  • Gay marriage should be legal in the U.S.

Homosexuals should be allowed to marry their significant others if they wish to. A homosexual relationship between two consenting adults should be treated no different than a relationship between two adults in a heterosexual relationship and both couples deserve to unite in marriage if they want to do so. Questioning if they have the right to marry is questioning the idea that they know enough about themselves and their relationship to be together.

  • Absolutely it should not.

There is not one good reason that gay marriage should be illegal in the US. It is no one's business who someone else loves or wants to spend their life with. These people should be able to marry so that they can easily share their wealth and be able to be at the hospital with each other.

  • Gay marriage should not be illegal in the U.S.

Gay marriage should not be illegal in the U.S. I think that it is wrong that some states allow this and others do not. Gay marriage should finally be accepted and allowed. People should have a right to marry whomever they want to without consequences. Gay marriage should be tolerated everywhere as it is not an issue that is going to go away.

  • Marriage between consenting adults should be a civil right, regardless of gender.

Adults should have the right to marry whomever they love, regardless of gender. The concept of "traditional marriage" between a man and a woman is a religious one, and should not enter in to state or federal laws. When a person reaches the age of consent, then it should be a personal choice as to who they can or cannot marry. No government entity should have a say as to who gets to marry whom, as long as both parties are consenting.

  • Gay rights are human rights

Same-sex couples should be allowed to publicly celebrate their commitment in the same way as heterosexual couples. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation states that many same-sex couples "want the right to legally marry [and] honor their relationship in the greatest way our society has to offer...".
If the reason for marriage is strictly reproduction, infertile couples would not be allowed to marry. Ability or desire to create offspring has never been a qualification for marriage. George Washington, often referred to as "the Father of Our Country,” did not have children with his wife Martha Custis, and neither did four other married US presidents have children with their wives.

  • Gay Marriage Is Not Wrong....

Gay marriage has nothing to do with other peoples lives, unless you or your child is homosexual. Just because you were raised to believe that gay people are bad and you were raised to believe in being with the opposite sex does mean you have the right to have a say in peoples happiness. If a gay man wants to love another gay man, let them be happy and leave them be, they arent interfereing with youre life, let them be! Personally I am Gay, but that doesnt mean I am automatically bias. I am a lesbian, i love women but I also know when it has crossed the line and Ive interfered with a straight persons life.

  • No and why should it be?

Gay marriage should not be illegal because then you are taking away rights from people. That is against our constitution. It says all people have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. How can LGBT people have happiness if they cant marry whom they choose? Also if you take away that right you are not giving equal protections under the law. Which also violates the constitution.
