  • yes, protect them

Giraffe's are often poached just like Rhinos and elephants. People who kill for sport want the largest, most dominant animal to kill. Yes, giraffes should receive a similar protection to that of rhinos if they are endanger and need the protection. Hunting giraffes is not that popular and most people have not heard of many occurrences of it. Therefore, they may not need the same level of protection as an animal that may be hunted.

  • Yes, Giraffes should receive the same protection

Giraffes are fantastic creatures that are renown and beloved throughout the world. They are some of the few who very rarely, historically, hurt people. Ask any child what the least dangerous animal is, and they'll tell you the giraffe. The giraffe deserves at least as much protection as the rhino.

  • Giraffes should not receive the same protection as rhinos do.

While every animal deserves good care and humane treatment, there are only about 28,000 rhinos that are surviving in the wild as of 2016. Without their firm protection, rhinos could easily become extinct in the future. The amount of surviving giraffes is more than triple the amount of rhinos, so the special protection is not yet necessary.
