Should governmental controls be placed on food sale and production?

  • Yes there should be.

I have heard too many stories of people eating unhealthy or dangerous food. I have been a victim of this myself. If there are not controls on foods, greedy corporations will try to make the food even worse than it already its. There is no way that this would be good for the health of the citizens.

  • No, the government only does it worse.

No, governmental control should not be placed on food sale and production, because the government cannot create anything, they can only redistribute what already exists. The government can make things harder for other people, but they seldom make it easier. Without government intervention, producers would make sure that their products are good, because they would not want the bad publicity associated with any problems.
