Should immigrants who have committed a serious crime be deported and banned from ever returning? Should an immigrant who commits a serious crime be deported and banned for life from returning? |
The law is very clear on who is subject to removal but this administration choses not to follow the law. The fact is that anyone with even two or more "crimes of moral turpitude" (read SHOPLIFTING) is deportable. Yet ICE not only doesn't have the inclination to round these people up, they eagerly welcome them at the border once they have left and returned. Meanwhile these immigrants with LPR status are allowed to continue stealing from the American people with no repercussions. The question is not whether illegal aliens should be deported. The question is why, once someone has a green card, they are allowed to committ numerous crimes without penalty.
1. Curbs over immigration. 2. Curbs overpopulation in general. 3. Serves as a working deterrent against crimes, a VAST proportion of which are committed by immigrants and minorities.
and most importantly: 4. Stops prison from being over-filled, saving taxpayers money and also meaning that criminals don't get let out too early, and end up reoffending.
Happens all the time that hard criminals are let off easy, come out and someone else gets killed/raped/abused. It's sickening. This will help BIG TIME. Also, why the hell should the public be paying for immigrants to be kept here? Just send 'em back.
Living in society is a contract (read any social/political philosophy). This isn't their society, but in this modern age they're awarded the opportunity nonetheless. BUT if they break the contract, their place is no longer warranted, and I'll be DAMNED if I'm gonna pay to support them after that.
If they come over here for a better life, and can't obey the laws we have, they should be made to return home and never be allowed to return. They should limit the amount of immigrants coming here, also. They should also send them back to their home countries, if they don't learn English.
This country is nothing but immigrants, and to deport all of us does not make sense. But, for most of us, we were born in this country and that makes it our country. We shut the borders down because we do not have the resources to take care of more people than we have already. If someone commits a crime in our country, then they should be punished, and then sent out of our country.
Given a fresh start in a new successful country is great but if you blow it, you're gone forever period. Coming to a foreign country and violating its laws, these are not the kind of people we want. you come into our home because you don't like to live in your own home country is cowardly in the first place and secondly breaking our laws and diluting society? I mean come on there needs to be severe reprocussions for that kind of insolent behavior. We like immigration and foreign culture but if foreigners decide to come here break our laws and dilute our society then they should be deported.
Many immigrants who are deported leave families behind. Myself in fact. My father was deported in 2004, leaving 7 kids behind. He has returned to his country and has started a new business. He has great behavior and had a major slip up in his life. Should this really ban him from seeing his children grow up? Put it this way; There are many people born in this country who would be deported 10 times over someone who happened to be raise in another country.
