Children should be doing as much prep testing as possible because of the future tests they will be taking in college. With all the pre-testing and practicing they are doing they will not become overwhelmed when finals hit in college and will be better prepared in order to succeed and pass with flying colors.
Let's harken back to the days of George W. Bush on the campaign trail in 2000. He kept his promise and passed the No Child Left Behind Act through Congress. Now schools must meet certain metrics in order for the careers of the adults who work in them to survive. And the most effective way to gauge those metrics? Yup. You guessed it: Tests! So now our schools no longer teach curriculum, they teach kids how to pass a test. If they're not taking a test, they're prepping one. Is this any way to run a school?
