  • I Think So

Kids need to keep what they learnt during the week fresh in their mind. This debate does not say Homework 24/2 on the weekend. This means they can play games that promote maths and english but can play other games homework isn't necessarily sitting down writing in a maths book. I think if all kids did this the world would be smarter

  • Homework only on weekdays

I say this because there are people who go to school where they dont have homework at all or only on the weekdays, and they are really smart. Also when teachers give me any amount of homework on the weekends i dont do it, or i do it in the morning and copy it off someone else. So there's no learning to it. Especially when weekends should be used for relaxing and decompressing not stressing.

  • Yes/No. Depending on the student.

Look at it this way, if the student has missed assignments throughout the week, make them take it home and force them to do it or get suspended. Even if they don't come prepared, send them home. Though, if the student works diligently throughout the week, reward them with a speech of gratitude. No homework for them, they deserve it!

  • Homework should be kept to a minimal.

I specifically remember my 5th grade teacher saying that " we[students] have a life too", and I perfectly agree. Weekends should be leisure activities like family, service hours, sports, games, etc. Not home work though I can see doing a simple math sheet with 10 problems or a human geography packet. Home work that requires little time and is not boring.

  • Homework for weekdays, relax on weekends

There are 7 days in a week, 5 of them are weekdays. During those 5 days, a lot of students get homework. Now we can exclude Friday (since it technically is the beginning of the weekend) and we have 4 weekdays where students get homework. That's still enough in my opinion for the student to learn and understand what they are being taught. The weekends should be for the students to relax, unwind, spend some time with their friends or family without worrying about doing homework for school. 2 days with no homework would not hinder a child's education.

  • Weekends for Family

The weekends are most for families also its to go to church and most important do outside activities. We shouldn't have homework because you also are tired and in some families you don't see your dad for the week so you spend time with them. No homework on weekends!!!! Vote!!!
