Should legal and medical marijuana users be granted employment protection?

  • Yes, employment protection is appropriate for legal and medical marijuana users

If an individual is in a state where marijuana use be it recreational or medical is legal it doesn't seem fair that their employer should hold their use against them , especially in cases of medical treatment. To penalize someone who uses marijuana for medical purposes is not right. If marijuana use is permitted there should be employment protection.

  • Yes, with certain guidelines.

If a person needs marijuana for medical reasons, they should of course be granted employment protection, as long as they can support the medical need and as long as their use does not pose a potential harm to themselves or co-workers while they are on the job. Medical use of anything is something that should be protected.

  • A boss's business is the workplace, not your freetime

Your boss should have absolutely no say over what you do on your free time. His dominion is the workplace. If you don't show up for work high then what ever you do when you aren't on the clock should be your business and if it's illegal then your boss isn't the freaking police so it's still not his business.

  • No, they should be fired for doing drugs.

All marijuana, including Medical marijuana is illegal under Federal Law.

Marijuana is an illegal drug. All illegal drug using employees should be fired. All companies should have mandatory quarterly drug testing of all employees, including teachers. Every one doing drugs should then be fired.

All kids in grade school, middle school, high school, and college should be required to have mandatory drug testing each quarter. All students that test positive should go to therapy. If college students are repeat offenders, they should be kicked out of college.

All known drug user movie stars, musicians, entertainers, etc. Should be put in jail for years, and all their property taken away. Hollywood is perpetuating the myth that doing drugs is cool and not harmful. NORML should be closed down and all their workers tested for drugs, any testing positive should be thrown in jail and put in therapy.

America needs to get totally hard on all drug users before America is destroyed.

All drug distributors need life in jail. All gang bangers selling drugs need life in jail.
