Should Marijuana be legalised for medical and recreational use all around the world?

  • It depends highly on how it's controlled.

Obviously, there is no need for worry if it used in hospitals as they know how to handle these things reasonably, but it should be controlled when given to the public so as people don't take too much or take too high a concentration, etc. It has to be kept on a tight leash, but like tobacco, as long there is an age limit and the people know the consequences of what will happen, then it becomes their responsibility to smoke responsibly. I know I said it should be controlled, but that's just to prevent drug dealers giving high concentrations to teenagers that then end up dead. That kind of thing.

  • We should be able to control our own lives

Theres no reason for anyone to be ablt to have the right to take our rights away, its our decision, our bodies, our lives, our planet... The stuff naturally grows in the dirt, its not made or produced, making it illegal is seriously retarded and people that support it being illegal are just as retarded, i got stung by a rose plant once thus doing more harm than weed so should we irradicate and make rose plants illegal also, it just sounds silly just as silly as the laws about weed being illegal

  • For adults yes

Marijuana is not a "perfectly safe" drug there are proven side effects especially when combined with a person with mental disorders. And, it has been proven to be addictive, although not as addictive as many other drugs there have been cases of people developing dependencies on it so it cannot be argued that everyone is free from being addicted to it in some way. However it doesn't kill you, it has medical benefits, and it isn't associated with violent behavior. Compared to all other drugs currently available, besides coffee and things we don't usually consider to be drugs, it is the least harmful yet the most illegal. It makes no sense to keep it illegal if we are going to allow alcohol and other substances to be legal.

  • No reason to outlaw a plant.

People ought to be able to make their own decisions in regard to themselves. I can think of far more serious consequences for society that are perfectly legal and consumed without hardly batting an eye. And if someone wants to be a pot head and do nothing with their life, more power to em.

Canabis has uses as a medicine. Some side effects yes, but all medications have side effects of some kind, whether acute or accumulative. For personal use, at least canabis has the ability to give the user some creativity and anti anxiety benefit. Very, very few substances (if any) can compete with the benefits of canabis and have the low risk that it does.
