  • IT Removes The Economic Burden Of The Family

If a person is using mercy killing he/she removes economic burden of his/her family and relatives. Thus mercy killing should be legaliazed. It is
not right to feel pain by giving money.
It also frees up the hospital beds and resoures for those who needs the treatment immideatly with chances of recovery.

  • Why should a person suffer

If a person is in coma then u shud cut off him from the world . He should not be kept on ventilator. It pains him a lot . To provide Ur sibling with a peaceful death u should let him go.So mercy killing should be legalized in every country to provide a person with peaceful and relaxed end of his life

  • Let them get a relief from all the pain

Just go and visit some hospitals where it is having the treatment for cancer. We can see kids, youngsters, adults who are suffering from cancer. We can see parents praying for the death of their child, wife for husband,son/daughter for their parents they dont want to loose them but they want is make them relieved from the pain they are suffering. Once i saw a person suffering from cancer, doctors just pour some solutions into the wound, after some time i saw worms coming out from the wound of a living man. What he prefer is die.. If anyone see such a condition we surely will argue for mercy killing.

  • Needless suffering is abhorrent!

I have seen too many people (young, old, midde-aged) living on the ragged edge of life wanting to die. Death eventually came to all. Did their suffering build character? Were the gods appeased? Absolutely not. Placing the burden of needless suffering on those wishing to die is evil. Certainly, advances in medical technology has improved countless lives. At the same time, because of these same advances, needless suffering has entered the picture. One hundred years ago, people who entered a vegetative state died. People in the end stages of cancer died. Period. Enter the ventilator, feeding tube, and drugs: death can be delayed from days to years. Bottom line, medicine is a man-made tool. It is a tool for good or for evil. "Do no harm" or "life at any cost" becomes a grotesque philosophy that denies the most fundamental human right: to exercise free will. To decide to live or die.

  • I believe that people should be allowed to make their own decisions.

I believe that people should be allowed to make the decision on whether they should be connected to tubes and wires for the rest of their lives, or decide to go out before they have to deal with the pain and suffering that may come at the end of their lives. Ultimately, it should be that person's decision because they are the ones who are suffering.

  • Yes, making people suffer is cruel

Mercy killing should absolutely be legal. There is no reason that people who have no chance of getting better should suffer for their remaining days, never knowing how much longer they will last, how many more days of agony and just waiting they will have to suffer through before they can finally pass on. They should be able to go as peacefully as is possible for them rather than sticking through pain and misery.

  • I've watched someone I love dying and in tremendous pain and it's not something I would wish on others.

Two years ago, my aunt learned her liver was failing, a combination of her drinking and hemochromatosis. She didn't survive long enough to get a liver transplant. The doctors all said that given her disease and drinking, she wouldn't qualify for one anyway and that all we could do was be by her side as the liver shut down completely.

If you want a clear reason why mercy killing should be legal, simply watch someone dying. Seeing the pain tearing them apart, watching as their bodies shut down, and seeing someone struggle to do something as easy as picking up a spoon eat soup, it's difficult. Worse is when that same person begs you to make the pain end, but knowing there is not a thing you can do. We mercifully end the lives of our animals, why shouldn't we be able to do the same for our terminal loved ones.

  • No 1000000000000000 times

The sixth of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shall not kill" mercy killing is an act of murder. It is a major sin in the eyes of God. Listen, NO MORE MERCY KILLING! No more of that! We should stay alive for as long as you can.

  • Mercy killing is not mercy but oppression

If a person wants to die and we r supporting or accepting his idea we are stupid, because it is a human nature that if he/she faces even a small problem they feel nothing is worse than this could happen and they think the solution is to die.No! It is not like this Allah says that the life of this world or the problems of the same is nothing, the main life is the life of hereafter which is everlasting, and if we do suicide ,and I must say euthanasia is one of them, we will be punished in the whole hereafter life and the same pain will be given again and again. So,what is better, to suffer in this small life and die a natural death and get the heaven or to end your life by yourself and get an unstoppable everlasting pain?......So mercy killing is not a work of mercy it is an oppression on the person by giving him unbearable pain which is hidden from you....I request please stop doing this...The life is so beautiful just the thing is that we think about the problem more and get depressed. ..Come on be cool and say no to euthanasia

  • No, only God has the right to decide when it's your time.

I believe killing yourself because you feel the need that you're not worth anything on this earth is very wrong. God gives and ends life. We are on this earth for a reason and that is to first strengthen our faith so we are ready for heaven and to spend our eternity with God there. The other is to tell others and spread so they have that chance. I do understand why some are involved in this killing they are in such an unexplained pain that I don't understand and know. So they give up and don't know what to do and their mind is telling them to just give up and die. But overall I believe it's wrong and their is more I could say but I'd be here for hours. PLEASE STOP THIS KILLING EVERYONE IS WORTH LIVING MATTER WHAT KIND OF PAIN!:) - 13 Year old Lutheran girl

  • It is murder

Only God has the right to take lives. We are not god to take life of other in the name of mercy.Meaning of mercy is forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm but not in the way of killing. So I say no to mercy killing

  • No it should not.

Killing just seems wrong even if it is with mercy in mind. I also feel like people would end up taking advantage of it and saying the person was not well off or was going to live a life in pain and needed it. I see it causing way more problems than good.

  • Another term for assisted suicide

Who will make the guidelines as to which individuals get to die and which individuals have to live through their pain? Who gets to play GOD? My dad was dying of cancer and the hospice staff made the decision for us. They suggested a dehydration death. This is when the patient is put on morphine and basically dies in his/her sleep. Yes, my dad was terminally ill. He wanted to thrive as long as possible. Hospice took that choice away by putting him on a medicine that would end his pain. They thought it was in his best interest if he died.
