  • It is educational

Because it is educational. It teaches area, perimeter, length x with, high and volume. If you are in multiplier you equal trade. You also learn math skills. You learn vary yous full skills. So as you Kan see mine craft is vary educational for schools and math and kids. So it is educational.

  • Yes Minecraft is not just fun it can be educational.

Minecraft can be used in stuff like science fast changes "getting close to lava"and rocks and mineral or 3d projects. It can boost creativity in a good way. Kids can have fun homework like: build a volcano with your group. To me I think Minecraft should be aloud in school.

  • It should definetly be allowed in schools!

Because it can help with a college education in architecture, construction, and science education. Like elements and such. I could also help with team-building. Also they could present their minecraft project by using a 3-D printer. The schools could use this for engineering, and the Table of elements. Minecraft should be allowed in School case closed.

  • Teamwork And Creativeness

I'm just saying my brother had a minecraft class at school. Minecraft can really build your creativeness. U can build anything you want! In a world that no one can tell u what to do (unless in multiplayer)
And if you are in multiplayer then make friends and build a friendship with them. Once u get to know people online then they are like team. That's why people make oovoo or Skype, so you won't need to tell people your privet info to talk to them. Teamwork!! Don't worry parents out there who think people can just type things out and put it up on kid's screens. Well actually that is true but nobody can swear or cuss. And of course schools will have a server just only for kids who go there.

P.S. To join a server u will need an IP address. You can find the IP online or just by your friends telling you it. They're all different. So the school will probably have a special IP. Also if you know the IP then u must be white listed. Well not on every server but probably schools. White listed means you need to be on a special list to be about to go on it. But on public server there is no whitelisting

  • Creative, Fun, Educating

It has been proved many time that Minecraft should be allowed in schools. I mean, It has already been allowed in Sweden. Kids sometimes have homework on Minecraft. Before this has been stated but it teaches kids about the environment, and real materials. It is just a all together well thing for it to be excepted in schools

  • Yes, it is interactive and could one day prove to be useful for teaching concepts.

Minecraft has very much surprised me at how different it is from other video games in positive ways. Minecraft could be used for helping teachers teach kids about things like nature, where things come from, and how we get certain materials in the real world. Also, Minecraft could become a great substitute for outdoor recess, as it empowers and encourages creativity and stimulate the mind.

  • Minecraft can be very educational

Minecraft is a game of placing blocks, and there are many reasons it should be in school. First, it shows the levels of underground grass then dirt, stone, and bedrock. It also is good for minerals because it has most of the minerals like diamonds, iron, lapis lazuli. It also can be a prehistoric part, you don't see laptops or already built houses in minecraft. That is why I think minecraft is educational and why it should be in schools.

  • Mine craft IS educational

It is educational. In servile you need to know your area and how many floors your building is and do this. (3 blocks hi times lets say 25 floors). Other wise known as. 3 x 25 = 75 blocks hi + area which mite be 27. So it wold be 75 + 27 = 102 . So you'd need 102 blocks.

  • It Helps Kids Learn

It teaches kids about life and breeding animals and it helps the kids future if they want to be an architect when they are older. They learn how things work and they can power different materials and make new things and it also helps with a kids learning on math !!!!!

  • Minecraft Sucks Balls

Minecraft should not just be banned from schools, but also around the world so people can stop wasting their time and do some housework or school homework. If minecraft were in schools, all the students would be having wars except for those geniuses that hate this game Le
Ike me and the school would become a warzone over just one game. All the students would get hurt.

  • Minecraft is fun but NOT educational

Minecraft does not use real life physics and the only items that react when close to lava is wood. This game does not use gravity for the blocks it places only for sand the player water and lava use gravity when placed. These blocks don't even react to rain only lightning mostly.

  • Minecraft lacks realism and a plot

For starters, Minecraft in schools is already a preposterous idea. At the end of the day, Minecraft is still a video game, and video games aren't (or shouldn't be) allowed in schools.
Minecraft lacks any semblance of physics, with only four blocks (gravel, sand, red sand, and anvils) that fall if the block below them is removed. On top of that, let us talk about ENCHANTING...The act of using an enchanted book or your experience points to enhance your weapon. This is highly unrealistic, as are the monsters. Zombies. Skeletons. Creepers (monsters that blow up in your face). There are also ores which can be used to make weapons, fuel furnaces and make torches, create decorative blocks, and forge armor. There is no casting of iron. There is no tanning of leather hides for leather armor. Just plop 8 pieces of a cow's hide or iron ingots into a crafting table and you're good to go with your new chestplate. Preposterous.
Oh, and by the way, the strongest ore is diamond.
This was already analyzed by MatPat of Game Theory, but the diamond armor in Minecraft has many cleavage planes (areas where the armor can be sliced cleanly) and is weak from all sides except the front. The diamond pick-axe, sword, and shovel are all reasonable ideas, but they are still part of a ludicrous system that makes up an unrealistic-but fun-video game.

  • It teaches survival and teaches you how to put your head to inmagination

Why it should be in school 1 reason it teaches you survival you can build whatever you want and theirs no limit to it ur world keeps growing you can build however wherever you can even do math in your inventory but watch out for this guy called herobrine he has white eyes and he evil but seeing him is rare so that's a warning but you can scare people on holloween because you can get his skin well i don't mean take off his skin i mean go to settings and you will see this thing called change skin and i think hes in festive in might be in the holloween pack but you need to pay money for some of them so i suggest you t buy only one skin so im telling you this is a sand box game oh and happy holloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Minecraft Will Not Improve Education

This has to be the most moronic debate on this entire site. The only people posting here are children who cannot spell.

Anyways, I suppose I'll give an argument anyway. Minecraft does not teach. It is a game that was not designed to educate children. It was made for, and is used for, entertainment alone. Using it in school would not improve the learning experience in any way.

  • Should Never Happen

Minecraft is ONLY for entertainment, NOT for education. I'm Autistic and did it help me with my education? No! It doesn't do anything other than to keep everyone entertained. Why waste money on making everyone dumb by playing Minecraft everyday in school? That's just the stupidest thing I have ever heard. >:(
