Should more be done to protect workers and the environment from coal mines in Silesia?

  • Yes, coal mining is dirty and dangerous

In Silesia, coal mining is a difficult and dangerous job. Many
coal miners sicken before their time with work related disorders. Mining also
pollutes local lakes and streams, and most of the cleanup costs are borne by
society instead of by the mining industry. Then, once the coal is produced, burning
it causes acid rain and contributes to climate change. So, coal is really a
fuel of the past. More modern fuels offer lower real costs to society and the
    earth.

  • Coal mining can be a very deadly profession and harmful to the environment.

Coal mines are dangerous in many ways. They are dangerous to the workers who mine the coal. Many workers die when safety standards are not ideal. Coal mines also pollute the environment. To better both the workers and the environment, more precautionary measures should be in place for all coal mines, everywhere.

  • Protect Workers In Silesia

I personally think that it should be more done to protect workers and the environment from coal mines in Silesia which it has affected some workers as well as the environment. I personally think that it should be more done to protect workers which it has affected the economy as well as the society.

  • Yes there should

Yes, these workers are working in awful conditions, and sucking in all of these particles is definatley going to kill them before they should die. I think that something needs to be done so that they have a safer way to go and do their work without the high risk.

  • The coal mines are safe

The workers of the coal mines in Silesia should be as safe as possible for the workers, but the companies that own the mines are doing a pretty good job right now. The coal mines are a good source of income for the workers and the owners of the mines, and at the same time the government gets a good amount of taxes from the mines.
