Should Muslims be allowed to have a Mosque next to freedom tower?

  • Yes, muslims should be allowed to have a mosque next to freedom tower.

Allowing Muslims to have their mosque next to freedom tower accomplishes two things. First, it makes freedom tower to be exactly what it is supposed to represent. It shows that freedom truly exists in this country. Secondly, having a mosque next to freedom tower will make it more unlikely that terrorists will attack freedom tower.

  • And put a gay bar next to the mosque

People should be allowed to build whatever they like as long as the zoning is legal. If someone is offended by something, they can move, or they can build something that they think will be offensive to the people that offend them. So, I say, build a mosque next to the tower, then build a gay bar next to the mosque, then build a Chick-Fil-A next to the gay bar. More businesses makes the economy grow, right?

  • Um, duh. 1st amendment.

Those Muslims were not responsible for 9/11. The radical fundamentalists in other areas of the world were responsible. They have a right to build a mosque if they wish as it is public land. Preventing this would only cause more debate and seperation among communities. The best way to solve this is to teach tolerance to all.

  • Not all Muslims are terrorists.

All Muslims are not terrorists. I happen to be a Muslim but I show respect to everyone! I believe some people take the religion too far. All that jihad stuff is really annoying. I believe it shouldn't exist if it requires any violence. I don't know much about the religion, but am not interested in learning. So, please don't judge all Muslims due to the crime of a few, if any.

  • Freedom of religion

The freedom tower is a symbol of the freedom that we as American's have a right to. Not allowing a Mosque next to the freedom tower would be contradictory to the term freedom. America is based on liberty and the right to believe and practice what you like as long as you are letting others do the same. Let them have the Mosque.

  • Freedom of religion

America is based on liberty and freedom. People of all religions have a right to practice their religion as long as they are not infringing on the rights of others. They should not be told they cannot build a church in a certain area just because some people think they are a threat. The religion itself is not the threat. To not allow a Mosque in a certain area would be violating their right of the freedom of religion.

  • They Should be allowed to Build a Mosque

We live in a free country where anyone is free to practice any religion they choose. It would be unfair to judge the entire Muslim faith because of one event. That house of worship will be one of peace, and has no affiliation with the attacks on September 11th. It is a non issue.

  • Muslims as a whole did no harm.

There is no reason why Muslims should not be allowed to have a Mosque next to the freedom tower. Muslims as a whole did nothing wrong and should not be judged or punished for something that they did not do but was done by a few extremists. There is no need for religious persecution and doing such does not move us forward, but keeps us in the past causing more harm than good.

  • This is a spit on the victim's face

I wish the muslims are more open to their "fairness" in the Unites States in their homelands. Try being a Christian practicing your Christian faith in Islamic countries, better yet build a church there. Just because you believe in fairness, you should check your fact before you claim that it is "fair".

  • It is an insult to the victims.

If a neo-Nazi party tried to build a base next to a concentration camp, they would be kicked out because it would be seen as an insult to the dead. There was no movement to build a mosque at that location before 9/11. The construction of a mosque at a place where thousands died (at the hands of Muslims) would only cause tension and violence. I don't think that Muslims are evil, but the people who decided to build a mosque there are clearly trying to create controversy and, in so doing, disrespecting the dead.

  • Not because of freedom of religion

I just think that 9/11 has stirred up enough tension between Muslims and Americans, why do we need to blow the fuse? And besides, out of all the places in New York you could place it, why should it be right next to the area where it was fundamental Muslims that attacked us? I am not trying to violate their rights, I just think it would cause unbalance in NYC.

  • Do not give the Muslim world a rallying point

While any Muslim leader will tell you that muslims are a peace loving people, no American living today will forget the scenes of large crowds dancing and celebrating at the news of the twin towers demise. It is adding insult to injury to allow a mosque to be built at the site of such a disaster. It is at the very least, bad form for the Muslim clerics to want a mosque on this site. It is potentially a rallying point to incite further animosity and actions by the Muslim world, particularly Muslims in America.

  • All Muslims are terrorists

Deport bush and the rest of the Muslims. Let freedom reign on their towel heads. USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA MERICA HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE HAIL TRUMP. TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. TAKE DOWN HILLARY CLINTON GO TRUMP.
