  • Yes they should

The only reason the N.C.A.A coaches get paid all the money they get is because the players play so hard and win the games. The coaches bring a team together to win but so do the players. That's why the N.C.A.A players should get paid to play the game people.

  • Yes, NCAA athletes should be paid

College athletes work hard at what they do. They arn't able to get a job because they have to work hard everyday. The NCAA should pay college athletes because without athletes, the NCAA would have no money. There would be no fan bases. Athletes bring money to the NCAA, the NCAA should return a favor

  • Heck yeah they should!

A huge portion of a university's earnings is athletics. Game tickets, merchandise, etc. But what many people arent noticing is how much a athlete does for that university's earnings. People will come to games to the the soon to be Heisman trophy winner, or buy their jersey, or buy the NCAA football or basketball video games because he is on the front of it. And lots of money is made doing so. But having the player who drew all those fans and money gets none? That is not the least bit fair.

  • Heck Yes they should

These athletes contribute publicity, ticket sales, and merchandise sales from their popularity. The university owes them for a portion of the money they have made. Someone buys a player jersey for that player but the player earns nothing That is not fair. There are video games made that make millions and a player is on the front. They get paid nothing. That is not the least bit fair.

  • They should be paid but not a lot.

They should be paid 30,000 to 75,000 dollars based on their skill. The maximum at 75,000 dollars is so universities can not buy the services of the player. Since they have to spend so much time practicing and studying for college, they have no time to work so they have to get money from there parents.

  • These athletes are playing just as much as professionals and maybe even more.

These athletes are playing their sport for long periods of time and unlike professionals they also have school to worry about. They are providing their service and talent to the schools and they need to be repaid. It's like they are working for free and that is very unfair to the athlete and their family who could possibly be paying for their tuition.

  • A little won't hurt

I think NCAA athletes should be paid; but, no where the salary of an actual NFL professional player. Even though some people look at NCAA is the "internship" of football, they are still out there busting their hearts to play, and get a chance to prove they can play pro-ball.

  • NCAA Athletes Should Not Be Paid

NCAA athletes should not receive compensation for their participation in NCAA sports. Students receive scholarships to attend the university or college for which they play. Supporting them financially, through paying them a salary, providing them with goods and services, or giving them deals, would not be ethical. Should they play well enough in college, the NFL might pick them up, then they'd be able to accept payment for their skills.

  • Don't Pay College Athletes

College athletes already receive reimbursement for playing sports. These are called scholarships, or free rides to college. They should not be paid for amateur sports performances. If so, this would cause students to go only to colleges that paid them the most after paying their tuition for learning. The NCAA athletes are not ready for the pros; that is why they are still in the NCAA (college).

  • No, NCAA athletes should not be paid.

No, I do not believe that NCAA athletes should be paid. Most of these talented athletes are on a scholarship, and I think that is sufficient enough to help them through college. Athletes who have enough talent to go on and play professionally can then have the opportunity of receiving payment for playing a sport.

  • No, NCAA athletes should not be paid.

NCAA athletes receive a large number of benefits. The value of their scholarship is very expensive and should be sufficient compensation for the time they spend involved in their athletic endeavors. Paying athletes would be a difficult aspect to monitor and there is the possibility of abuses if this were ever put into place.

  • They Should Not Get Paid.

Most college athletes get scholarships, and if they got more money, they could get greedy, and irresponsible. It would also be unfair to the smaller, and poorer colleges. There is a law called title 9, that states that there should be no discrimination. They would also need to pay the hockey team, all the girl's teams, and every sport that they have.

  • Not at all

They play for a scholarship and receive so much already, free room service, FREE ROOMS, etc. It's an optional thing for them to play. Also, its a dream they try to accomplish, its not fulfilled yet. I wouldn't blame anyone for saying yes though because there are a lot of reasons for why they should be paid too.
