Oscar Pistorious, a Paralympic Gold medalist, was convicted of shooting his girlfriend four times in 2013. He was originally convicted of manslaughter, but now after serving one year in prison and more time on house arrest, South Africa's supreme court will be resentencing him for murder. They claim that the previous court did not consider that Pistorious knew that his actions would result in murder, regardless of who he was shooting. I agree that shooting a locked door four times seems a bit excessive and he is responsible for the death of a woman and needs to face the consequences of that tragedy.
He should be convicted because it is not rightful or lawful for anyone what whoever to end someone's life. This means that for such a crime, one has to be pay so Oscar Pistorious should be convicted for his crime if he's found to be guilty. It is just fair to the beloved family of the late Reeva Steenkamp.
Oscar Pistorius should have been convicted of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, because he has been found guilty of the crime in our courts of law, including an appeals court! We must respect the system and not abuse it. He has gotten his appeal and lost. No more appeals, no more wasted taxpayer dollars.
Clearly if evidence was founded, then yes, he should be convicted of murder, the US justice system allows for a fair trial for all, which allows both sides to be heard and the outcome of freedom or jail time, or whatever the consequence. Judge and jury will use the evidence.
