  • Some Parents Are Not Capable of Helping Their Children Make Choices

Most parents fervently believe that they should know about it if their child
gets birth control. They want to counsel and guide their youngster
until he or she is truly mature. However, not all parents are like that. Some
mothers and fathers have problems so severe that they cannot even recognize
their responsibilities to their children. Young people from that kind of family
have to look out for themselves from a young age, and access to birth control
very well might help them do so.

  • Parental consent should not be required for minors to obtain birth control.

Parental consent should not be required for minors to obtain birth control. In today's society minors are going to do whatever they want without regard for their parents wishes. If they are going to have sex anyway then they should be allowed to protect themselves from unplanned pregnancies and any STDs.
