Should parents of students with more than 2 discipline infractions within a school year attend mandatory parenting class?

    Because if their child is acting out it is their fault. Their child is more than likely acting out because they don't get enough love, support, and care at home........... ..... ...... ........... ............ ........... ......... ....... . . . . . . .. . . . . . . .

  • Can't teach paranting

One cannot realistically and reliably teach parenting. Who will determine what kind of person teaches the parenting class? Who decides what is the right or wrong way to be a parent to a child. Who decides anything? The Government. So forcing people to take parenting classes will go from trying to fix a problem, to trying to enforce a specific persons'/people's politics on parents.

    It Just Doesn't Work Out.

  • Parenting not ALWAYS the issue

First of all 2 is not that many...

Second. If a students grades are suffering AND they are having discipline issues or if the discipline issues are excessive, then parents and teachers should meet to discuss possible reason. Maybe even a child therapist to see what else is effecting the student and causing the behavior. If the parent is struggling maybe resources could be offered to help both the parent and student.
