  • Opposite is a totalitarian regime in a poor country, that pays everyone almost nothing, as all the money is kept by the elite.

For example, what would "same amount of money" mean? Let's take a perfect Utopian society for example. Money does not exist there, so technically everyone receives an equal amount of money - nothing. Yet everyone is encouraged to pursue the knowledge in the field that interests him/her, so there is no shortage of workers. The other is slavery people get by with little pay can hardly afford to live most the time and end up dying while trying to get what they need in order to continue living.

Let's take a perfect Utopian society for example, Money does not exist there, so technically everyone receives an equal amount of money - nothing. Yet everyone is encouraged to pursue the knowledge in the field that interests him/her, so there is no shortage of certain workers people are able to survive and live with helping each other out. The other is ether forced slavery being kept alive just to work or working for little pay trying to scrape by just to survive for a day

  • Less selfishness, more kindness

Absolutely! This is the 21st generation, where people earn very differently to the person next to them, however, many people live in poverty, while others live in mansions. All jobs, regardless of the profession, difficulty or common-ness, should give the same salaries. All jobs are important to society, so why should one person earn less or more?? All income should be redistributed.

  • People no longer need to earn a living

We have the technology to take care handsomely for every human on Earth. Therefore I can see no reason why anyone, anywhere should go without.
Most people do jobs which create no wealth(as defined by the ability to take care of so many human lives for so many forward days). So it would be more economical to pay many people to stay at home,

  • Yes, yes they should

Throughout history, discrimination in all forms has been a constant battle; whether it's race, gender, religion, beliefs, appearance or anything else that makes one person different from another. One significant discrimination problem the world is battling, takes place in the workplace. Women, men, and many others are being paid differently for doing the same exact job. Unfair right? The realization that man, woman, and others can produce the same results, have the same education, and have the same capacity to accomplish the same overall tasks as men is becoming more popular. Especially as the prevalent thought of women as not as valuable as men is constantly being proven to be incorrect, which is why everyone deserves equal pay. We deserve equal pay because we are all equal, because women and others can do work just as good as men, and because the amount of money lost by them has terrible effects.

  • Its only fair

Ppl she get the same amount of money its onli fair not un equel lets solve everyone low ratw of money not rich people be rick we all should be whetey no matter what we all should have a good job so we can pay all are bills for peace

  • Yes we should

If we all dont make the same amount of money, then people will be classed as "poor" nad "rich" and then we'd have some people in the middle. Whne people are rich and they see people who are in the middle of poor and rich or are poor, then they may discriminate against them.

  • No people should be paid differently

People should be paid differently, because if everyone was paid the same, people would choose the easiest jobs and all the hard working jobs, no one will do and that will affect our economy immensely. Furthermore, people work hard for what they deserve, so its only fair that they get paid accordingly.

  • No, people should be paid for what they produce.

No, people should not get paid an equal amount of money, because socialism does not work. Under a socialist system, where everyone is paid the same, people will want to do the easiest jobs. There is no reason to work hard to learn everything you need to know to be a doctor, because you will get paid the same waiting tables.

  • Everyones work ethic is different

Everyone, naturally, have different work ethics. Two people who have the same job should not get paid equally if one pulls more weight than the other. Also, there are jobs that require a higher mental capacity, and there are jobs that require more work. It just doesn't make sense to pay an engineer thats 30 years into his career with a Nobel Peace prize the same as, say , an 18 year old part time babysitter.

  • People put in more effort than others and due to this they are getting paid the same as people who do a easy job

People work hard everyday and make the money they deserve so in order for some people to not even work hard and then have to get paid the same as people who have to work extremely hard. It is unfair and unjust to the people that work extremely hard, like some of our parents

  • People shouldn't be paid the same amount of money.

Humans should be paid differing amounts of money cause it would be unjust if they get paid the same. It's unjust for humans who have better abilities and knowledge if every one was paid the same. This is because most humans went through more schooling and or training to get where they are now. So if they made the same amount of money as a high school drop out or a person that has one or more years less education or training it would be unfair. However on the other hand, some say most jobs are still as equally as important even if one doesn't require as high of education or ability while the other does. But if all jobs had the same payment the economic system would crumble cause people wouldn't work hard to succeed in school or jobs. So overall, people shouldn't be paid the same amount of money.

  • Some work harder

Some people work tons harder to get a good job and they probably went to college to be succesful but alot of people work in underpaid and just low paying jobs are easily taken because of natianal money issues. Some people strugle to get good education but you just have to work hard for a good job

  • It is unjust and unequal

People should be payed depending on their abilities, knowledge and needs. For example a doctor with a family should not be payed as much as a cleaning man/women that lives alone. If not, the whole economic system will collapse and people wont try war dat school or at work anymore.

  • People shouldn't get the same salary.

If someone at McDonald's gets paid $10 an hour, and a Surgeon gets paid $1000 an hour, and the McDonalds man doesn't do as much work as the surgeon, it's not fair for the surgeon to do a lot of work and get paid the same as a McDonalds man not doing as much work, making the same as the surgeon.

  • They have not worked hard enough.

Let's say if a guy selling newspapers on the side of the street hadn't gone to collage and University and he tried to get the same amount of money as a famous footballer that had to train for hours on end and had to go to uni and work as hard as he possibly could The newspaper person on the side of the road is trying to get the same amount of money.

  • People should be paid differently

I think that people should be paid differently. I think this because if everyone is paid the same then they would lack the care and effort needed on their jobs and they wouldn't care about promotions because whatever they do they will get paid the same. Secondly if everyone is paid the same then people would choose the easiest jobs and no one would bother with the high ranking jobs like doctors. This would impact the economy immensely- like the first commenter here said
