Should permanent camps for Roma families be set up in European nations?

  • Yes the camps should be set up.

I feel that Roma families should have permanent camps set up in European nations. These camps provide the Roma families with the support and protection that they need. One can only ignore the needs of others so long before things become a problem and now is the time to set up camps.

  • Not at all

No, i do not think that it is a good idea at all to set up a bunch of Roma camps. I think that they need to be able to make it on their own, and that a lot of help does not need to be given to them by people

  • Limits on Lands

There is a tricky situation when one plot of land on this earth is designated to one group only. It can be a method of gaining power and prestige, but it can also be used to subjugate minorities to awful punishments, and force groups to become mass outcasts within their own society.

  • No, there shouldn't be permanent camps.

No, setting up permanent camps would be like putting them in concentration camps - which they were put in along with Jewish people by the Nazi army. It is segregationist. The Roma should be able to travel and live freely in whichever country they are living in just as everyone else is.

  • They have the right to live where they wish.

This is a terrible idea. The whole basis of camps is to restrict people and to force them to live in a specific place. As long as they obey societies rules, Roma people have exactly the same rights and freedoms as anyone else, and making them stay in camps would be a violation of this.
