  • Yes we should

Some people have their own believes .What if somebody told you that you can't believe what you believe?? What would you say?Would you stand down and let them take control of you and your own believes?Or be in control of your selfs d your own believes? As I'm saying yes, we should have prayer in school.

  • Religion is a basic human right.

Kids should be able to practice religion at school as long as they are practicing it at the appropriate time. They should not be reading their holy book when their teacher is teaching. We should teach our next generation about our modern religion practice so they will be prepared for all problems.

  • I'd mostly go with yes

I can see both sides. Most importantly (in my opinion) we students should be allowed to have our freedom of speech and religion. But what if kids start to make fun of a student's religion? Also, if students don't want to pray, they shouldn't be forced to. It most certainly should not be required for students to pray, but if they want to then I think that they should be allowed to.

  • Yes, We should

Honestly, I think we need to enforce prayer at school..... We need to have a moment of silence everyday during anoucements, it give the students a chance to pray to their God. Because some students have problems and maybe they believe but their parents dont and they cant pray in their household.... So before answering yes or no think to yourself..Some students call school their safe house.

  • School prayer should be allowed in school

Because many kids are very religious or need to pray at school, what ever happened to freedom of speech? Many kids have a horrible family life and school could be a safe place for them to be themselves without having to worry about judgmental kids, or even maybe having to worry about being made fun of for being different, and i feel that if we continue to encourage kids then more and more students or kids will start praying and maybe prayer will become required! But im all for freedom of speech, and i feel that kids should also be able to express them selves whether that means praying or not praying! I think that we all just want for freedom of speech to be continued with the school districs around the nation! Thank you!

  • Prayer Should be Allowed in Public School

Prayer, as long as it's not sponsored by the school itself, should be tolerated and allowed in public schools. If students actively decide they want to pray during a club meeting or elsewhere, then they should be allowed to do so without any punishment. The school itself shouldn't enforce any prayers, though, because then that becomes an issue.

  • Not organized, mandated prayer, nor teacher directed religion

The school has no right to impose a specific religion on students. However, students can and do pray at schools. That is their right as individuals. They cannot disrupt classes with it, they cannot expect that others do what they do, but they are allowed their own, individual practices. Even to have student clubs surrounding their faith, provided administrators and teachers are not proselytizing.

  • There should not be prayer at school

Some religions do not include prayer therefore time devoted to prayer would unfairly favour the religions that do
Parents or students may not feel comfortable about expressing their own religious beliefs
Prayers in school emphasise differences and could make a misunderstanding between the students
    This is what I believe

  • No, prayer should not

Religion is private and schools are public, the two cannot be one without a conflict. I have no problem with praying at the appropriate times, but school enforced prayer is unconstitutional. A common misconception, schools do not reject religion or think of it as bad, its just in place to acknowledge that everyone is different and my not agree.

  • Separation of Church and state

The state shouldn't take time out of education for prayer. They shouldn't build prayer rooms. Why? People who don't believe in God, and don't want their children to will be forced to accept that idea. Lots of money which should go to better teachers, and better equipment would go to prayer.

  • No, no and no

If you want to pray, that's fine. But don't bother other people with your religious stuff. You can pray when you're at home or in church.
+ It shouldn't even be considered in a school. You go to school to learn stuff, not to pray. Also the schools/goverments money shouldn't be used on praying rooms. But should be used for better school facilities for the students.

  • Public, administration led prayers should not be allowed.

Usually when people ask this they're talking about public prayer and that should not be allowed because it makes students who don't believe in God or who believe in a different God feel marginalized and excluded. Of course, private prayers should be allowed and if a group of kids wants to pray together that's fine, but prayers led by the administration should not be permitted.
