Should President Obama be willing to give more concessions to get immigration reform passed in the House of Representatives?

  • Something needs to be done

Regardless of people's feelings about immigrants, especially from Mexico, people can usually agree that something needs to change in a serious way. Whatever it takes, and answer needs to be reached about immigrations. Since Obama is in a position to do some good, overall, he should chase after it before its gone.

  • Obama Must Make Concessions

In order to get an immigration reform bill passed, President Obama needs to give up more concessions in order to pass such a bill in the House of Representatives. The fact of the matter is that Obama's unwillingness to make concessions will be his downfall because he's running out of time to make it happen.

  • He is not listening to the people.

Yes, President Obama should be willing to give more concessions to get immigration reform passed in the House of Representatives, because Obama's plan will not pass as long as he continues to be unresponsive to the wishes of the people. A great deal of people do not support illegal immigration, or amnesty for illegals. Obama's plan will not pass until he takes their concern into account.

  • President Obama should be willing to give more concessions to get immigration reform passed in the House of Representatives.

President Obama has tried to reach bipartisan agreements with Congressional Republicans with little success. The time for compromise is over and Obama needs to start acting independently. Republicans are not going to make concessions because they oppose immigration reform. Obama should use the power of his office to force laws through.

  • They don't want to work with him, why should he work with them?

The problem Obama has had in getting any legislation passed in the House of Representatives has never been about making concessions or compromises. The Republican trolls who reign in that part of Congress simply refuse to do anything that has the President's backing. Wait them out, the voters are sick of them, and then try again when the Democrats are back in power after the 2014 elections.
