Should publicizing criminal news be banned?

Asked by: HKR_ajb
  • Publishing criminal news doesn't resolve anything

We know that criminal news are published after the crime happened. And we should remember that the idea of publicizing here, means that everyone, every kind of society (good and bad morality) could see and may catch the bad message come from the news. Perhaps many kind of society would like to imitate the ways of conducting crime. So, the thing that gov need to do is not publicizing the news, but gov should focuses more on resolving the source of the news (crime) itself. And society didn't need to feel neglected because they still can following the development of the criminal news on their country through socialization conducted by gov in corporation with prevailing parties of the country. That's why, we do believe that it is the most justifiable way.

  • Freedom of the press

Publicizing of criminal news should not be banned, but it does need to be reported on responsibly. The press should feel free to report on what they need, but they do need to know that when it comes to criminal news, there are often copy cats who will use details to create similar crimes.
