Should Rand Paul be the 2016 Republican Presidential Nominee?

  • Yes, he is the only one talking about principles.

Most of republicans think the same, they just discuss details of the same policy. They are all interventionists, they all support corporate welfare, almost everyone of them believes in a regulated economy, nobody of them has a real agenda. Rand is different, he believes in free markets, he has real plans to execute his ideas and he is pretty consistent about important issues.

  • The only way we are going to get a reduction in taxes is if we elect a conservative.

Most people vote for liberals because of social issues like abortion and gay marriage which appeals to younger generations. I am a Tea Party Republican that agrees with liberals on some social issues but recognize what this country stands for. We need to put these social issues aside and worry about our national debt that is being caused by these socialist programs put in place by democrats, Social Security, Medicade, Medicare so on and so forth. What the middle class doesn't understand is that democrats support government spending, which increases taxes. But democrats would also like to put in place a progressive income tax which is not fair to the people who made their money fair and square. I would say Ted Cruz 2016 but he will not be elected. Rand Paul is the only reasonable choice.

  • Yes yes yes

We need a true conservative like Rand Paul who values personal freedom, liberty, and small government. We don't need another person like George Bush or Chris Christie who will implement big-government/progressive polices. And I think Rand Paul will do a great job of reaching out to young, and minority voters which will help us actually win the election. Rand Paul 2016!

  • Rand Paul 2016

I think that Rand Paul in 2016 as the Republican Presidential nominee is a great idea. We need fresh blood in politics. Rand Paul has some good ideas and it would be great if the world would get to know him and his ideas. The only that will happen is if he is a major party presidential nominee.

  • Rand Paul would be an excellent president

If Rand Paul were to be the presidential nominee, I believe he would win, because there are so many republicans who won't vote for weak republicans, who look a little bit like democrats. Recently, republicans support big government, which is not of the Republican party. Whatsmore, the majority of people would support a smaller government. Rand Paul should be the 2016 Republican Presidential nominee.
