  • We're going to need it anyway

When I was younger (no older than 4) my family and I were travelling the outback - basically the bush with limited water and hundreds of kilometres on dirt roads to major towns, we would always stop at these little and drank their recycled water (Yes, I've drunk it, it's delicious by the way), I survived, it's been over a decade since then.

Also, for those who don't want gray water to drink, I suggest using the solar solution instead with dirt (literal dirt) water, a transparent solar grid and a metal sheet, poor water from the top and catch it from an exit when it drips out - also delicious (It really works - Heat kills bacteria and rids of dirt particles)

  • Do your research mate

Before coming on this website do your research, I beg you. The opposition have no valid points, they are just saying they don’t like poo water, but they haven’t considered the three types of water or the fact that it goes through heaps of treatment! Get some common sense and do your homework before you post.

  • Desalination is energy consuming, fresh sources of water are not easily available to all people

    - the science backs up the suitability of the water and it can be treated safer than desalinated water or natural water
    - the energy consumption must be considered in desalination and transportation of naturally available water

    - we need this renewable source of water at the same time we need to treat the sewage water

  • SAVE your water

In truth, only 1% of the world's water is fresh water, and 70% of this is locked under ice caps in the arctic. If you want to be smart and SAVE YOUR WATER, start thinking about your eco-friendly actions and drink treated water. Many of you will have your doubts on wether it is safe, or the 'yuk' factor. But it’s in the name. Treated water. So start being smart. Save your water.

  • Your drinking water is already recycled.

    DO! YOUR! RESEARCH!
Your water in your homes (called white water) is already recycled. Every time your water goes down the drain, it is recycled and filtered and reused in your taps! Grey water (lightly contaminated with unharmful, low level chemicals (water from garden taps and washing machines)) will also be recycled, but black (sewage water) is not going to be recycled. Please do your research before coming onto his website and slapping down some incorrect opinions.

  • After a certain amount of time, every country will have to resort to recycled water anyway!!!

Waste water goes through a filtration device and ends up completely clean and turns into recycled water, with no bugs or viruses. If any bugs are detected within the filtering device, all water is stopped from going into any water sources in which people drink from al alarms go off in less than a single second. Anyway, we use tons of water everyday, eventually if we still want to drink clean water, we would need to use recycled water.

  • Yes is the right answer

That water in the world is getting limited for our needs. With more people needing water it can cause water scarcity.
Drinking recycled water is perfect. It is better for us than normal water and it tastes the same.
So i think that yes is right and the people who say no are WRONG

  • Recycled water is natural

Water is recycled naturally through the water cycle. The water cycle is a closed cycle, so the water we are drinking was probably once dinosaur urine, or part of the primæval seas. Water reclamation is merely us trying to replicate what happens naturally in the world. If you do not drink recycled water, you will die of thirst

  • I don’t like cheese

I guess it would taste like cheese as a lot of people eat cheese so their waste would taste like cheese and then the water tastes like cheese. WHAT IF PEOPLE ARE ALLERGIC TO CHEESE THEY MAY DIE THIS IS A BAD IDEA PLEASE SAVE THE WORLD TODAY AT COLES

    (This is a joke.)

  • We should not drink recycled water!!

I mean, would you drink water that you pood in? It is gross and festy. I mean those who think we should drink recycled water have their own opinion but i think NO!!!!!!!!!! I mean it does go through a cleaning process but how do we know our technology is that good?

  • Stuff could go wrong

Bacteria, virases, and hormones, plant failure, water levels could becoe more stable= more floods, cost, land for facillities, and the ICK factor!!! Its also gross to think that you would be drinking water that has had poo and urine and everything else grosse that tou can think of!!! I mean who wants drink that!!!

  • A pore is made up of atoms/molecules creating a gap.

Since water can go through, other atoms and molecules can. And therefore, it can poison. Since sewage has poisons, recycled water for drinking is a low iq idea.

That Singapore uses Newater aka recycled water shows the power of politics, not the power of a good idea.

At least we can give Toowoomba credit for their vote of No to recycled water.

  • The water is disgusting

The water that is recycled is sewage water. It is absoultly disgusting and disturbing. Who wants to drink that? I certainly don't want to. The affirmative says that it is fine because it is treated but it is still from a sewage outlet. What goes into a sewage outlet. Human waste. Eww, so disgusting

  • NO way thats unclean water!

Can you imagine that the water we drink actually comes from the same water we use to bathe, wash things, flush the loo... That's absolutely disgusting!!!!! We are made to believe that water is absolutely safe without even knowing how they treat the wastewater!!!!!! Never ever ever gonna drink it!!!!
