  • It's common sense...

Reduce reuse recycle... Our resources are eventually going to run out... I've worked in restaurants for over fifteen years and seen waste first hand... Plastics, glass, water, food and energy... The companies need to enforce it and it'll become habit not a pain... It's expensive I understand but the future doesn't look bright if we keep up our old habits...

  • Yes Yes Yes

Of course, it should be forced. We are already being forced to do things and abide by laws daily. Only this law actually benefits everyone and the environment and all you have to do is throw your trash in the recycling bin instead of the trash can. It's not rocket science people.

  • Recycling is important.

Recycling is really important because if we don't recycle, many trees will be cut down and many forest would be cleared. That way people won't have oxygen to breathe. Also clearing the forest will endanger many species of animals. Recycling is also important because if we don't recycle it will also cause pollution to the air. Lastly if people don't recycle there will be too many landfills and the land areas will decrease.

  • Makes the world better

If you recycle than there will be more trees and we need trees to live because trees produce oxygen. When we recycle we are not putting more waste into the world. The world has too many land fills and it is making a mess of the world.

    WE NEED TO RECYCLE

  • We need to recycle

Protect the environent! Pollution and waste has been ruining the world for DECADES now, and humans haven't bothered to pick up their lazy butts and DO something about it. This is NOT right. People should notice that the world can't support us if we're littering hither and thither. So do something right for a change and recycle! What's so hard about throwing your paper, plastic and glass in a different bin? You have hands and feet, so use them for once and stop being a lazy, good-for-nothing couch potato!

  • What would help the environment

I think we should be required to recycle because before long the landfills will have been so full that we will have to expand them and decrease our land. Also most of the time plastics and other could be recyclables are put into our rivers, and streams, But if you think about is if all of the fish die from water pollution and other possible factors certain predators would die and some prey would dominate, and without the balance, the environment would soon die out and diminish and with that we wouldn't have the resources and other things that we needed.

  • Yes we definitely should

Hurting our community and our earth. Humanity is killing our environment I think we should care about how it is affecting our world and the animals in it. A law would help prevent us from damaging our organism in our world. It doesn't hurt to help out and it would be beneficial to us too.

  • It just has to be forced

  • Not not not

Some people think that all households should be required to recycle paper, glass and plastic. Other people think that recycling should be a choice, not a requirement. I think people should have a choice. I think this because i don't believe in forcing someone into doing something. There are many reasons for people not recycling. One people can not afford to pay for the trucks to pick it up. Two people do want the air polluted and it to stink of burning plastic.

Almost 9/10 people in the world recycle and the 1/10 does not.

  • No, I do not believe recycling should be forced.

No, I do not believe recycling should be forced. Although I think that it is beneficial to recycle materials, I believe it is the right of every person to have the choice of whether to recycle or not. People need to be informed about the benefits of recycling and make their judgments based upon the facts presented.

I believe that trying to force people to be environmentally conscious would be opening the door to forcing other environmental issues, such as forcing a person to limit the amount of fuel they use or the amount of water consume/use. It is a slippery slope that should be avoided.

  • No, it should not.

Recycling is a nifty idea but it should not become forced. Studies have shown that recycling is more of a 'feel good' activity than anything truly environmentally healthy. Instead, the focus should shift to companies producing bio-degradable and environmentally friendly packaging and products. Recycling is fine how it is - as a reward (or reimbursable, in some states) spiff.

  • It is stupid

Some people think that all households should be required to recycle paper, glass and plastic. Other people think that recycling should be a choice, not a requirement. • What's the point?

Why enforce recycling? When the recycling guys chuck back half off what you put out, even with the recycling symbol on it. I am careful to check it but regularly find it in the bottom of my refuse bin. They appear to take only what has a higher value, either that or they need a basic science lesson in properties of materials.

  • No, recycling should not be forced.

Forcing everyone to recycle should not be in effect. If we want recycling to be successful, we must implement education and a young age and provide a cultural setting in which it can be valued for both its environmental and economic benefit. Recycling is a lifestyle, not a law that can be imposed. Create people who want that lifestyle, not force it on everyone. That only builds resentment.

  • Educate the people

People don't need to be forced. Forcing them will cause unrest between citizens. Instead, educate them! Education will help them understand why recycling is important, other than citizens recycling for something they don't know why and are being forced to do so due to a fine for there families. This means making it mandatory will cause unrest and education is a better solution.

  • A conscientious choice- not needed to be regulated

Making a law would be expensive and again, as someone said before me, already 9/10 people recycle. It can be beneficial, but recycling itself is regulated because only certain plastics can be used and many other rules. I think we learn the recycling is pollution within itself.

It is great and beneficial, but not needed to be regulated!
