Should religious studies be a compulsory subject in Europe?

  • If we learn science, there's no harm to explore other people's faiths and ideas

We learn Science at school and they talk about scientific creation ideas and how God is unnecessary etc and I accept their views even though I do not agree with them. So what is the harm in learning about other people's beliefs and ideas? It means we can accept and explore different societies and it considerably decreases the amount of discrimination such as "Islamphobia" etc.
