Should same-sex marriage be legislated for in the US Congress?

  • Same sex marriage should be legislated for in the United States Congress.

Same sex marriage should be legislated for in the United States Congress. Every one in this country should have a fair and equal shot to get marry to any one that they choose, regardless of their or the other person's gender. It should be law in every state, so it should be up to the federal government to make that law.

  • All Civil Rights Issues should be taken up with the US Congress

Our Congress has got an obligation to Legislate all issues. From Fishing rights to Same-Sex Marriage. As we've seen with every Civil Rights case, Like Segregation or Women's Rights the US Congress makes the right decision and intervenes. We do this because if we didn't decide Civil Rights issues and left it to the states, we would be allowing radical State Senators and Legislatures (Like the ones in NC who legislated Sharia Law) to make important decision that effect every person in a huge way.
