  • None schooled kids? I dont think so...

Yes. Children should have to school 5 days a week for 180 school days. People need math and language arts on a daily basis and if those people didn't ever go to school they may not be able to do simple things like cook for themselves or write a resume. Also, many jobs require a schooling in your past, so if there are many people who don't go to school, then the unemployment line will go up since there weren't many people who could get jobs because they didn't go to school when they were younger.

  • School is important

If we don't go to school and our parents didn't go to school how would we learn to do simple things like reading a story to our kids, or read instructions to make a birthday cake. Life would be way harder than it needs to be if we didn't go to school

  • Yes should school should be compulsory

Yes it should be compulsory because school is important and children need their education, otherwise it will be impossible to find a job that requires useful stuff, children need to be educated every single day and that is a fact that i know of the whole entire world today ok

  • Who will provide you with your necessities?

If students were not forced to go to school there would be no doctors or people to treat the ill or make clothes or build houses so people can stay warm at night, etc. This would be because nobody would have the level of education to have any of these careers. Say someone broke their leg and needed surgery to get metal rods in the leg to keep it in place there would be no doctors with the required degree to perform the surgery. Sure you wouldn't have to wake up at the crack of dawn if you didn’t go to school but who is going give you a yearly physical because there will be no doctors to do it. You want to move theres going to be no houses for sale because there were no builders to build them. You dont want to keep the same clothes for years whos going to make you new clothes if there are no clothing designers or clothing shops open? There would be nobody to make you clothes or build you houses or give you surgery if you weren't forced to go to school. There would still be some people to perform these tasks but not enough to provide the whole country.

  • Yes i think it should be forced upon us

Because when we get older we will not know how to buy for anything if we drop out at 14 15 or 16 we wont know how to pay for taxes or when we have children buy food for them how are we suppose to get a good job if we have no social skills or life skills or math skills or writing skills how are we suppose to support our sleves if we have no job or money to do it

  • Should Schools Be Mandatory?

Yes, You need to learn, and school is never a waste of time. You need to know a lot of things at school that can help you future, such as getting a job, a house, and other very important things. Some people have to live on the streets, or work. Those people can not go to school. They want to, but they can't. So My opinion is yes, we need to learn the proper thing that will help us in the future.

  • Elementary school, yes.

Yes, school should be mandatory for young children, but once a child turns 18, it no longer should be mandatory. It's important for our young people to be educated so they can be healthy, productive members of society. School may not be fun for everyone, but it still is important!

  • Yes, school shoukd be manditory.

We all need to go to school. How would we get through life without education? Were going to need most of the stuff that we have learned in school in our everyday life. If we just give up on school you wont most likely get a good job in the future or soon because most jobs look for if you went to school and graduated. We also need to and have to learn new things in life everysinle day.

  • Yes, some sort of schooling should be required.

We need an educated population. The only way to achieve that goal is to make schooling compulsory. It can be public, private or home schooling. It doesn't have to be a cookie cutter, one size fits all situation. However, every child is entitled to an education, and sadly some parents need to be forced to make that happen for their children.

  • Yes

School teaches vital lessons to children that they need to know throughout their life. It is not necessarily the facts they will learn at school, more of the behaviors and work ethic. If nothing is expected of a child work-wise when they are a child, they will expect to do nothing for the remainder of their lives.

  • none.

No. By what authority does the government have to mandate education? Why do we need an educated population? We need a free population. Freedom has worked well over the last 200 years. What else are we going to force parents to do? Leave people alone...even the dumbest people are smart enough to figure out what is best for them.

  • School should not be mandatory after high school

Should we have an education? Yes... But school is the very least likely place you will get one. (Coming from an honors student) The human brain can only fit four hours of study, and I don't really see doctors using math above sixth grade (yet you are still obligated to learn calculus). Teachers suppose students will complete homework in every class and have enough time to go to bed early. Students also sleep in that class mostly for that cause. It's not right, I do agree that education should be a priority, but there should be different ways for learning. School is the equivalent to slavery... I'm very shocked to say since I used to be an avid supporter of school.

  • School is trash.

Trash and school should be synonyms because school is trash and trash is school. However, the real question is to be or not to be. Hoisting, or no hoisting. School should be as mandatory as this fifty word argument. School is the bleach of life. Trash trash trash trash trash.

  • Fix Education: Make It Optional

If you make education optional, then you only have kids who want to be there. One of the biggest problems in education these days is kids who could care less getting rubber stamped through the system and who end up doing nothing in school but dragging others down. These disruptions do nothing but cause kids who would otherwise be engaged to disengage. Most of these kids who don;t want to be there drop out anyway, so why go through the motions of forcing them in the first place?

  • No, it's like begging for idiocy.

What most don't consider when saying that school should be a requirement for children is that by forcing them to be in school, not only are you hindering their ability to be a child, but you're also taking away their creativity and innovation. When a child is young, their lives are molded to do what others tell them to. If a child draws, and a teacher-- a trusted adult tells them that it is a waste of their brain, then it leaves a lasting impression. Most of the students who are forced to show up at school and know well that they don't want to be there are the ones tagging up bathrooms and sitting at the back of class, making sure that everyone knows how much they hate being there. It's disruptive, and it brings those who do want to be there down along with them.

  • It's an infringement of personal freedoms and harms youth

On top of health issues it causes, the daily schedules of school are taxing on youth and the system is wasting creativity and innovation. It disengaged imagination and steals youth from children. They are forced from their homes to a place they don't want to be, rounded up like prisoners in an internment camp.
