Should schools be allowed to give out over-the-counter drugs?

  • Sometimes over the counter drugs are neccessary.

I think schools rules for over the counter drugs are out of line sometimes. I remember one time in middle school I had a throbbing head ache and they refused to give me some Advil and I had to go home instead to take it. Over the counter drugs should be allowed in certain circumstances.

  • No, that is a parental responsibility

A child's school should not be allowed to issue over the counter medication. Parents should have enough involvement in the child's life to know when they are sick and purchase them over the counter medication. Also the liability of a school giving out the incorrect medication or something a child is allergic to is too great.
