  • Schools should have pools!!!

Schools should have pools because what if you get in a accident and you don't know how to swim what are you going to do? P.E is not going to help you. If you learn how to swim it can be a life savor! And kids and get more exercise and have fun!

  • Yes it is a very good idea and should happen

Swimming I feel is a very valuable skill for people to have. While there are lifeguards at pools they are only human too. We do not have to continue swimming in school but I feel like we should at least be able to swim a 50 front crawl without goggles.

  • We can have a swim team!!!

Many people do not get that much excessive in a day so if they had a swim team more people could became active. Also it is fun and they teach you how to swim so that would be good they are also like lifeguards so that it would be safe for everyone to use.

  • Yes people pools are cool

WE should have pools because they give you exercise and chill out and play and have fun. You can sit and relaxes and have fun. Pools are super fun so kid do not all ways have to rory about school work. Kids can get over worked. So they need to get there mind of school work a chill. So schools should get a pool!!

  • Why not have them

What is so bad about it i mean a lot of kids probably want them so lets have them think about it more schools will have swimming teams and they will get lots of exercise. And if you call it a waste of money and time its not. Some people say that its not educational then how is a gym any better. ( ͡°ᗜ ͡°)

  • School needs pools !

Why do you ask ? Tons of kids die because of not knowing how to swim! That is crazy and if we had swimming pools than they means less people would die and that is what we need right no one should wait any one to die and I think swimming pools at school is great!

  • Schools should have swimming pools

If one child does not know how to swim they will drown if they want to relax in the water of a body if water like the beach. If there grown up selves don't know how to swim they probably struggle in teaching there kids who grow up to swim. So you can come to a conclution about this problem. And you also grow muscles quickly. ( being on a swim team myself, you WILL NOT see an obise or over wait person on a swim team)

  • The swim team and waterpolo team have to travel to any different locations that cause inconvenience towards parents and students.

Many sports groups such as the swim team and waterpolo team have to go to many different locations as they don't have the resources they need to achieve higher places. The swim team and waterpolo team have to travel to any different locations that cause inconvenience towards parents and students. These inconveniences include finding transport to go to practices and games, they also have to pay fees to use other pools as their own school doesn’t have one. Finding transport can be a major inconvenience towards parents who are working long hours and will have to carpool to go to practices and games

  • Teachers are not lifegaruds

If schools had a pool there would have to be so many techers watching u play making sure everything is ok and i don't think that most of the teachers want to get wet and plus if they had to do that they would have no time to organise school work

  • Pools are stupid

They're expensive ( no more filtering, less staff to pay for, no more plumbing issues, heating the pools = $$$$) Pool waste of time it's not educational like science or math where you could be learning something important unlike how to do front crawl. Barely anyone likes pool and it's awkward with boys and girls at a certain age. Feeling self conscious and not wanting to be around the other gender is normal and it's not somehig I'd like to do. In the end I think pool in schools is just stupid.

  • Pools are awsome

Pools can be used for so much like swimming programs fun celabrations to cool down your brain when you need to but would if it dousnt work you wold need a kiddie pool you would need a mediam sized pool youll need a big pool for every one to be sadisfide

  • People do not know how to swim and you can slip and fall down and get stitches

  • Takes time and work

    Teachers have no time to plan what they are doing for the day and it takes days maybe months to make the pool done e e e e e e e e e e ee e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e

  • Argument about swimming pools

Swimming pools are a very big responsibility, and it is not any fault of the school if one of the students drowns or has a deathlike injury, swimming pools are very risky opportunities that may cause death if used improperly.

Although supports argue that schools should have pools because they are fun and exciting and they are also a way to get the energy out of students, and that the school is to have a pool, to be used only in lessons of sport

  • Parent's Responsibility and Drowning

It is not the Schools responsibility to teach other peoples children how to swim. I t should be the parents duty. Swimming pools cause drowning and this is another thing why schools should not have pools because a student may get over the fence and fall into the pool and drown.

  • Not Cost Effective

Some schools have pools from the 80s and 90s when school athletics were far more emphasized. However, these days, school sports in general receive almost no funding. The 4 big earners are basketball, soccer, baseball, and of course, football. Beyond these four, the high school athletics groups are pretty much on their own. That being said, swimming and diving is a low income sport, and it would be a waste of money to invest several thousands of dollars on a pool facility while the projected income probably wouldn't even remotely cover the out of pocket costs to build one. That's why many schools have outside partnerships with aquatic centers.
