  • Uniforms in school should be mandatory

In today's society all schools should require uniforms. The current generation of kids in school are more worried about whether what they are wearing to school is cool. Instead they need to be focusing on their studies. By making uniforms mandatory, everyone will look the same. This will remove the notion for the younger generation, that it's all about appearance.

  • TOTALLY!!!! YESSSSS!! Schools should require uniforms.

Everyone is different. Some are rich, some are poor. If everyone wears different clothing, the kids without money would feel uncomfortable around those who wear designer clothing and expensive shoes. If everyone wears uniform, nobody would feel left out or sad about their clothes. Therefore I think that uniforms are necessary. :)

  • Please consider this and vote NO!!!

As it says in the constitution, we have the right to express ourselves and do what we want. But there should be a small limit of dress code because what would be your reaction if every girl in school came with lacey dresses and parasols? Or what if all the boys wore bigfoot costumes? I'm PRETTY SURE that would be a distraction for others. Besides, parents have to but clothes for their kids, so it would be a waste of money if they had to pay for the uniform and the kids couldn't wear the clothes that the parents bought. Wearing uniforms disturbs kids' rights to express who they are.

  • YES I am all for uniforms.

Absolutely for uniforms. Less expenses on trendy clothes with 'brand' names!! No more showing off latest pair of expensive jeans/designer clothes and shoes. Not everyone can afford a wardrobe of clothes. Uniforms work well in the sense that nobody is above anyone. They are all the same. It doesn't have to be a strict looking uniform - Khaki pants/dark blue or black pants with polo shirts and the school name & logo look good. Boys/girls can wear the same. I know it would alleviate some of the burden from the parents who hear this line every morning, "What am I gonna wear today?" If anyone out there has daughters and teenagers for that matter, it can make you pull your hair in frustration.

  • Yes schools should have uniforms

If we wear the uniforms the other schools can identify us and if someone is missing from our school group means we can easily identify them with uniforms. It brings the unity in the school. The students will be looking same if we wear the uniforms. So schools should have uniforms

  • Schools should have uniforms

The reason I think students should have uniforms is because when other children make fun of other students' clothes, the kids won't really care because all the students will be wearing the same thing and will have nothing to make fun of this is my opinion not yours. I'm not judging anyone so that is what i had to type. :)

  • Yes

Wearing uniforms is a good idea I think. Some people say that it restricts us from expressing ourselves. By wearing uniforms we are able to challenge ourselves in different ways. It's not expression when you and every other girl in you clique wears a Hollister tee shirt and Uggs on Tuesdays. It makes those who cannot afford the same clothing as you feel inferior. I wear a uniform to school and it doesn't bother me at all. Sure, they're not the most attractive outfits, but the only people that will see you in them will be wearing the same thing anyway. Uniforms bring together the school. They uplift unity and school spirit. They also place the focus on schoolwork, not your clothing. Uniforms are EXCELLENT and I think more schools should change to uniforms. People can have their own opinions and this is mine.

  • Schools Should Make Uniforms Mandatory

I strongly believe that public schools ought to consider making uniforms mandatory. We see a lot of schools ban certain items of clothing or certain lengths of clothing. In areas of gang-related violence and gang-filled territories schools ban certain colors that students can wear. If they have a laundry list of restrictions to wear on campus, it only makes sense to ensure students wear a uniform to make it easy on the school and on the parents. The school can enforce a standard policy toward the students and the parents need only purchase a week's worth of uniforms for their children. Uniforms are reasonably priced and it teaches discipline toward the student as they focus more on their academics.

  • Dress for success

Have you ever had no clothes to wear to school? This could be avoided if school uniforms were mandatory. It makes mornings easier and faster. It’s appropriate to wear. Everyone looks the same, so it eliminates jealousy and bullying over outfits. Students, mostly girls, worry about their clothes which leads to anxiety. If they wore school uniforms, they wouldn't’t have that problem .

  • We should obviously be required to wear uniforms in school

If we were to wear uniforms we would mature into a better society because in almost every job you get you have to wear a uniform like the military they save our country in uniforms so why shouldn't we have to too. Not only do we have to wear uniforms to mature but it also helps people who cant afford clothes because uniforms will give them an outfit to wear when there not in school and if they apply for a job they can wear there uniform to look decent or if they need clothes at all they can just wear their uniforms. There are so many reasons why uniforms benefit us even Bill Clinton said that uniforms are a great way for students to mature.

  • Uniforms aren't the best invention.

Uniforms are expensive, uncomfortable, and make you take longer to get dressed. Boys can be stressed out while taking a test if they have a long sleeve button down shirt and a tie tight around their neck. Also when kids see everyone around them in uniforms, they may feel too ordinary. Regular clothes give students a sense of uniqueness. The ability to stand out as an individual. With uniforms, no one can complement you on what your wearing. Finally, if all your sets of uniforms are in the washing, what will you wear? With regular clothes, you won't run into that problem, as you have countless combinations of what you can wear.

  • Uniforms prohibit individuals from showing their individuality.

If we all looked and dressed the same, it would be a pretty boring world. A lot of people form their opinion of you on what you're wearing. Not having uniforms allows students to express themselves in school. We can let our personalities shine through our clothes to let people understand the true us.

  • Free.

No, schools should not require uniforms. If kids are bullying others because of what they wear, parents and teachers need to deal with that and fix the issue. Teaching kids that the way to get along is to strip them of one of the ways that can express themselves is wrong.

  • Schools Should Be Uniform Policy-Free

There should not be school uniforms. Students should have the right to wear whatever they please to school as long as it's not offensive to others. While there should be some slight guidelines as to what someone can wear, schools should not regulate a student's whole outfit. That can be a hassle.

  • Uniform can be expensive!

Uniforms can be expensive for a certain people. They can also be afective on your adult years. You might one day wake up and feel like there is a outfit picked out for you already! Some people want to look cool with ther own cloths to! Do you like uniforms?

  • They should not require uniform

It violates students' first amendment of freedom of expression and all schools should have a Friday "free dress" day so this first amendment that students have is not violated in the school and ends up creating a bigger problem that the school has to deal with. I am against uniforms.

  • Let's not !

Students should be able to express who they are. They are not able to do that with uniforms. The students dress they way they do to show their personality. Their clothes state what they like. Uniforms show that everyone is they same. They show that the school won't let them be who they are! NO UNIFORMS! LET KIDS EXPRESS WHO THEY WANT TO BE!

  • Uniforms should definitely not be allowed

School uniforms should not be mandatory because students should be eligible to express themselves in their own style. With uniforms, students don't get to feel like themselves. People around you would't know more about you when everyone basically looks the same. Everyone should show their natural beauty and feel free to get themselves noticed in how they want to be noticed.

  • No schools should require uniforms

They are bad and nobody likes them. Living in the here and now lets kids make there own decisions and help them create a style. With school uniforms getting in the way of that students will have a dull and boring imagination. Making kids wear uniforms is insane and schools should not have kids wear them everyday.8======D
