  • No more sleeping in class

I think school SHOULD start later. The tardy bell should ring at 8:25. Just like elementary school. There is a reason why kids fall asleep in class and miss classwork and get 0’s if they don't make it up. Now I know some teachers think that is a dumb idea. Today, I’m going to try to convince you to say “Yes”.

First of all, some kids get nauseas in the morning because they are just not ready to get up yet there brains need more sleep. Well... Do we get enough sleep? Well we need at least 9 ½ to 10 hours of sleep. So guess what? We don’t have that many hours of sleep to get ready for school. Sometimes kids sleep in class because they stayed up all night on instagram or they didn't get enough sleep but they went to bed at 8:30 or 7:30. So, I say school should start later!!!

Second of all, if the students get more sleep then theyĺl be more awake and concentrate more in class. So, if the students didn't get enough sleep they'll be grumpy and very sleepy and not concentrate.

  • School should Start Early

Teenagers often stay late at night and wake up later in morning. When schools start early between 7:30~8:00 A.M it is a perfect schedule to go school that neither too late or too early. If schools begin early then it will ends ealier there outcome more flexible time for students either having a noon nap which is use wisely in Asia or envolve in part-time jobs; school acitives. Thereafter they would go to bed sooner for prepare the next day of school. Some research shows that early schools affect brains function and health immune systems, but, there is evidence saying that wake up early affect health schedule and improve some disease such diabetes and heart attacks. When schools start early specially high school it will teach how to prepare for real conditioning in real life.

  • Kids need sleep to be educated

Kids need sleep to learn, be educated, and to focus on what exactly is going on. I have to wake up everyday at 5;00 is the morning so i can go to school. I think that we should have more sleep at night so people can get better grades. Delay school!

  • School should start earlier.

School should start earlier because kids who have a lot of activities after school will not have enough time do their homework and all of the other things they need to do, also because I think if you wake up early, later in the day you will a lot better than you would have if you slept in.

  • School should start earlier

School should start at around 4 am and get out at about noon. This would give kids time to do homework and other activities after school. If the student went to sleep at 9 they could get up to 7 hours of sleep which is good enough for the student.

  • Schools should not have a later start time.

Schools should not have a later start time because students will be moody, tired, and less successful. Students should have a later start time because students will be more ready and energized for school, they will have more time to get ready for school, laptops, tablets and everything electronic will be charged. Students will have enough sleep for their classes.

  • Nope nope nope

No. Just no. Teenagers need more sleep because they are going through puberty and their bodies are actually accustomed to falling asleep later. In a study by the American Academy of sleep medicine, they examined a county’s high schools for two years. In year one, the school’s started at 7:30 for high school and 8:00 for middle school, and in year two the start times were an hour later. In year two the students reported that hours slept had increased and extra sleeping like naps in class or sleeping much longer on the weekends had decreased. Crash rates for teen drivers in the 2 years after the start times were made an hour later dropped 24.3% compared to the rest of the state. Furthermore, in another study that examined over 9,000 students in 8 different high schools, it was revealed that grades, performance on state and national achievement tests, attendance rates, and reduced tardiness show significant improvement with start times of 8:35 AM or later.

  • Heck no please

I get up at 5am to feed my dog, let her out then get my work done and have myself ready. School starts at 7:30. The recommended time to start is actually 8:30am because most teens go and stay up till 11:00pm. So a hour isnt much and im sure students will still complain that they are tired. But i still would like to sleep in more.

  • No they shouldn't

I think schools should start later because studies show that students with 8-10 hours of sleep get better test scores or do better on their homework. Even some schools start at 7;00 and their overall academic score is not as good as a schools that starts at 8;00in the morning.

  • School should start later in the day because

Ask your chilled this feel tired at school? Did you know that sleep helps your memory? Well school should start later in the day because if its earlier in the day it can affect your learning. For example if your need to remember something you might be tired so you forgot what it was and it can make you tired and sleepy and bored and if you are any of those you may not pay attention what the teacher is saying.

  • Start later then 7:10

I say we should start school later in the day like around 10 am because starting later causes some kids to have chronic sleep deprivation, and when winter starts it gets dark and some kids don't have rides and have to walk to school. So we should start later in the day so we can have enough sleep.

  • Schools should not start Earlier.

As a student myself, I have a large amount of difficulty getting up in the morning, And before you start saying I am not getting enough sleep, I have a pretty standard sleep schedule, I go to sleep at 8PM and get up at 6:30AM but I can't seem to wake up till 7AM, I am so tired in the morning I almost sleep through most of my morning classes.

  • Keep it where it is

At my school we start at 9:00 and for some students that is still to early as they go to bed at a very late time, and some need roughly an hour to get ready and they need anywhere from 10-40 minutes if they are walking to the school so lets just pick 25 minutes for how long it takes to walk to school, now most kids are needing to go to sleep at roughly 11 PM to get your recommended amount of sleep which does not happen for many students
