Yes, Scotty Moore seems to be a person who deserved more recognition than he received. However, this is something that often happens when individuals choose to play supporting roles, particularly to famous people. The Academy Awards may have a supporting actor category, but there is no award for backup singers and musicians, or ghost writers, sous chefs, etc. Some people choose to play these supporting roles and it's a good thing they do. Those in front need people like them. Unfortunately, some people like Scotty Moore don't receive the attention they might deserve as a result.
Scotty Moore was the guitarist who backed Elvis Presley's early singles. This is a critical role that helped the singer achieve success at the beginning of his career. As a result, I believe that Moore should be more well-known: even if he had a background role in Presley's career, it was his presence that gave Presley his signature sound.
Scotty Moore was a truly groundbreaking picker and consummate gentleman. Moore wasn't just a pioneering rock guitarist; he was also one of the best. He
was a true legend before they started bestowing that title on almost everybody. As he played, he wove together a wide range of different blues and country flavors and in doing so, created something truly unique.
Scotty Moore should have been more well-known for his music. As Elvis Presley's guitarist he was not just a sideman he changed the role and meaning of a guitarist. He is well known for his sunlit style of playing. Though he did give solo performances he was not very well known, but he will still be remembered as someone special.
