Should Sean Murray considered a liar because of no man's sky?

  • He's a Scheming Scumbag

It's obvious what this guys plan was: make something incredibly simple and limited but make it LOOK fancy... Make some trailers with specific hand picked hand created environments, and then proceed to just spew lies about what it is you're showing potential customers. Build hype -> profit from hype, laugh while everyone cries at how thoroughly you raped them... That was his plan.

It's a smart plan to make money, but if he thought in this day and age of instant communication, there wouldnt be some backlash, well he's kind of dumb. Granted he probably made enough money off of this one game to still be set for life no matter what all this does for him, so in essence, he still wins anyway cause people bought into the hype. Thank god i never did.

  • He is a lier

He is a lier first of nothing he said about the game was true this game was just a pile of junk i would prefered a broken port of this game instead just so i didnt have to know how bad (NO ONE EVER BUY THIS GAME EVER) bye bye

  • He blatantly lied to us

Sean Murray promised a game that would blow literally everything else off the market, and revolutionize video games. Instead, we got a broken, buggy, and unfinished game. He stated that each planet would have it's own unique characteristics. Players have reported that the worlds look almost alike. He also promised multiplayer, and the ability to find other players in the world, which never came.

  • He lied to us all

Sean Murray is a liar and I was TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED TRIGGERED

  • He should be held accountable

Sean Murray repeatedly lied about features in the game such as you being able to see you're friends and there being many different factions, I think he realized he made a subpar game and the hype was too great so he just kept feeding the hype by lying about features

  • Of course he is a liar!

He just created a poor 3d copy of minecraft with space
theme and just shipped with a high price and poor content
it's just shameful to the game industry that people like him
overhype the product and don't give a @$ck for the buyers quality and expectations that's why he is a liar

  • He was not lying

I believe that Sean Murray wasn't lying because No Man's Sky was already listed as an indie game before launch. Because of the significant amount of hype the game built up, he was forced to release it earlier than intended. He did not have the time to finish the product and was rushed in the process at the same time.

  • He wasn't lying, and never was.

Sean Murray never said that the game would be this big multiplayer first person game with mystery, adventure, extreme difficulty, etc. He said it would be an open world with random world gen and exploration. Everyone over hyped it, and made it something it wasn't meant to be. It's a stupid concept to think that what other people said makes HIM a liar.

  • A couple of individual features are shady, but overall, no.

Yes, he did say that there would be a couple of features that ended up not being part of the finished product, and that is a tad shady. I honestly don't care, as the main one, multiplayer, was effectively meaningless in a universe with the number of planets No Man's Sky has. But he repeatedly stated that the game was being overhyped, and people were getting carried away, which makes it seem quite unfair to make him sound like he was just riding the hype train for all it was worth.

  • He is not lying

He did what he could and we have to understand that he had restrictions and that he was hyping a bit too much about the game. He does have some points that he lied about, but he could have done much better and he also claims that No mans Sky was over hyped
