Should social media be legal for people under 18?

  • Yes, it should be legal!!!

OF COURSE IT HAS TO BE LEGAL!!!! It would violate the 9th Amendment in the Constitution. Anyone who says no needs a brain. It is also a form of fast communication. If they make this illegal, it will soon develop into some kind of dystopian society where no one has any rights.

  • U-umm.... Totally!!!! Duh...

  • Yes, it helps people connect.

Yes, social media should be legal for people under age 18, because there are positive uses for social. media. Even among young people, social media can be a way to connect. People can be kind to others on social media, and encourage them. There are downsides, but on the whole, social media is positive, even among young people.

  • You can't ban communication!

Social media is a reality for all ages these days. Trying to make it otherwise just isn't realistic. Turning someone loose on Facebook when they turn 18 isn't going to make them more or less responsible than doing the same when they're much younger. Parents need to have better access to tools that can monitor their child's usage of social networks, and more emphasis on common sense needs to be taught either at home or elsewhere. But no, kids shouldn't be prohibited from using it.
