Should social media replace verbal communication?

Asked by: socialnetworkin
  • It is better!

It is better. Not only can you talk from anywhere in the world, but you can also share videos, text and even audio (just like real life). Apart from this, what's the difference. You can talk anytime you want. It would be good if you could talk from anywhere in the world.

  • Social media replace communication

I was at a restaurant with my friends, you know what I saw, a bunch of phone fanatics. Social media has taken away the ability to communicate personally. Virtual life has become a reality for various people. On top of that people have not been interacting with anyone and when a person is right next to them they would text them instead of talking to them which is a habit that should be eradicated.

  • No it should not

The reason is we have been seeing around how people is going viral on t social media. Every small thing is done these sites nd application even if there is requirement to meet the person face to face what we do... We click the pic and post on it or record our voice and send it. This is something unnatural. The addiction is so strong that people dont want to move out from their place let alone meet the people. The consequences is that we feel nervous and hesitate to talk to people. We afraid of going to party or function where we finds lot of people. We feel fear of facing them. And if this is continuously to happen , this would kill the god's given beauty.......

  • No! Totally different things

Because social media is social media and verbal communication is verbal communication. Social media should never replace verbal communication as they are totally different things. If there was a world when there wasn't anyone talking but only people messaging each other on FaceBook or Twitter, it wouldn't be pleasant. School children will have no place to go and there wouldn't be jobs like auctioneer or lawyer.

  • NO, or then the world wouldn't be peaceful.

Because social media is social media and verbal communication is verbal communication. Social media should never replace verbal communication as they are totally different things. If there was a world when there wasn't anyone talking but only people messaging each other on FaceBook or Twitter, it wouldn't be pleasant. Children will have nowhere to go and nowhere to learn new knowledge and there wouldn't be jobs like a lawyer or autioneer because you need to TALK!

  • Social media enhances verbal communication, it can't replace it:

Social media works in lieu of verbal communication extending our ability to communicate however there's never been a point in technological history where the closer the two person's are the better thus why visual like video coverage is preferred over still images is preferred over text and so forth and so on throughout all forms of media. Touch is still one of the strongest modes of connectivity in humans.
