Should Starbucks be involved in political issues (yes) or remain neutral (no)?

  • But only in favour of those politics that favour its parent Nation

Starbucks should be required to speak in favour of those politics that affect the United States, as Starbucks is an American company, therefore it should be loyal to the country it is registered in, much as a person born in the United States is expected to be a loyal American, or the same for anyone of any country. However, if Starbucks speaks against America or harms American interests, for instance, by speaking against one of America's allies in any way whatsoever, then the United States Government should reserve the right to punish Starbucks for such actions.

  • They have great influence

Yes, Starbucks should be involved in political issues, because they are a very large company with a big sphere of influence. Starbucks is seen as trendy, influential, an green. They have one of the best brand reputations out there. If they are to use that force for political good, they could really accomplish some things for the betterment of the world.

  • Remaining neutral is a political stance in itself

Global companies actions have a direct effect on the communities in which they have a production or sales presence. In addition, any public statements gaining publicity or comment have a political effect. A failure to get involved in political issues cannot escape being a political act in itself, effectively supporting the status quo. Therefore, Starbucks should actively seek to use its commerical power and influence for the good in the political arena, because remaining neutral is a political stance in itself.

  • Starbucks should stay out of politics

Starbucks should not be butting into politics. It's stance against Israeli self defensive is stupid. I will not buy anything from them now that they have supported terrorists over our best ally. I am sure many of their Jewish customers are none too happy with their pro-Hamas stance that ignores the constant aggression being committed by the "victims."

  • Starbucks Should Stay Politically Neutral

Starbucks, and all businesses for that matter, should not be involved in politics. They exist to make money, and should stick to doing so. If their executives have certain political beliefs, they can donate to politicians of their choosing with their own funds, vote and voice their opinions on political issues as private citizens. They shouldn't use a coffee company to further a political agenda.
