  • Yes yes yes

Because kids get to streesed in school, and games can help relieve it all. Some kids play games during their lunch period anyway, so what would it matte taking a few minuets out of their classes just to have a short gaming period. Plus i think kids would want to come to school more often as well. Yes kids might try to abuse this, but if you set up a special type of system for it, it wouldn't be a problem. I am a student in hight school, and if i could get time out of class to play games, i would want to come to school more. I hope you take the time to think this through, and make a gaming period in school thank you.

  • Games help relax

Video games can help to make students relax during the school day. It has been scientifically proven that if students take a break during the day, their stress levels lower and they tend to learn and concentrate better. Yes it is true that there will need to be some restrictions as not all games are school appropriate but it will vary on the grade level

  • All study and no play makes jack a dull boy

In today's highly competitive world....Where education is given more importance over sports and co-curricular activities....The world is witnessing more pressure to study and just a cup of coffee....Can't relieve stress....Important is fitness and giving your brain time to get recharged...And who says playing games is just keeping away from academics??????? It is one step further towards academics...As games improve concentration...Etc......GO GAMES!!!!!!!

  • Some kids prefer tech over outdoor activities

Some kids just aren't built for sports and outdoor activities and foods give an equal healthy giving as outdoor activities do and some kids just don't like outdoor activities and at recess kids also can be bullied due to lack of physical activity type traits like endurance, strength, speed, and agility.

  • Yes yes it makes kids become free for some time

Why not ? Schools should have a games period it is necessary its makes kids stress out stay fit and become free for some time.Yes they can also abuse the games period but if there is a tight security than they can not .So why not ,why not we should have a games period even i am in a secondary school and we have a games period .So i hope u all will think and those who do not have a games period in there school they will request their school administration to add a games period .
    Thanku

  • They Defiantly should

If they did then it would be very helpful. It would be a fun and entertaining way to learn. It would also increase the attendance rate for a lot of schools. Students love video games. Therefore more students would come to school because they like the class. It would also decrease drop out rates.

  • Yes they should

The day gets stressful as it goes on we all know that a gaming period would be a good way to relive stress. Video games have also been proven to improve dexterity multitasking reaction time and I.Q. A few minute out of a period wouldn't hurt anything And actually keep students moving

  • A child deserves respite

A child needs to takes a break once in a while because they shouldn't be overwhelmed by a bad grade or a bad day. They don't deserve to be exhausted at the end of the day. Even High schoolers need to relax. Face it, nobody wants to be worked all day.

  • School Is For Academics, Not Recreation

Children in some lower grades often get a "recess" time or free time. However, once they reach a certain age, play time is over, as it should be.

School exists to teach children knowledge and to allow them to pursue academic goals. Games can be played at home, in free time.

  • Seriously? Games class?

Most schools already have GPAs as low as 2.5 and the middle school children have it the hardest, yes, albeit middle school decides what you do in high school, just as elementary decides your scores in middle school. Children have enough time to play video games. Schools have (an average of) 6 hours a day which means 30 hours a week, considering that this is done daily that turns into 35 hours of studies a week( IF done daily), if not 35 then 39. Subtract art, music, and other classes which do not have real academics in it, unless you want to be a sportsman, artist or musician. Too much time is already wasted with holidays. Approximately 20% of academical classes are eaten up by a potential "Games Period"

  • As if America wasn't fat Enough

Gaming period during school is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a while. Children go to school to learn and become smarter to ensure some type of future for America. I am all for letting the kids have a break to let their brains relax for a structured amount of time each day. By this I mean recess! Recess usually happens outside where kids can roam free and enjoy themselves while burning off a few calories in the process. Our educational system is already going downhill and that is without wasting a student's time and brain cells with useless computer games. Stress is a normal feeling for a child to feel during school. It shows that the student actually cares about his or her schooling. In my opinion if a child were looking for a stress reliever, kicking a kickball or throwing a dodge ball out on RECESS would be the best way to relax.
