Yes, the Supreme Court has a responsibility to overturn organizations that do more harm and good for our nation, and Citizens United is a prime example of such an organization. Since it is within the court's power to do so, they should seriously consider it. Our nation and the world would be better off for it.
Citizens United was a Supreme Court decision that allows unlimited donations to campaign war chests. This creates both inflation and party corruption. If one side has more money than the other, it only fuels more muckracking and underhanded campaign behavior. The Supreme Court should definitely overturn their decision on this matter.
Yes, I agree that the Supreme Court should overturn the 2010 Citizens United decision. I believe this country should be run by people. This is a big reason why so many people are choosing not to vote anymore. They feel their vote doesn't matter because corporations can simply spend millions of dollars to sway an election how they want it to go. This country needs to get back to a true democracy and put the power of election in the hands of the people.
We live in a democracy. A democracy that protects the citizens that live there. If Citizens United, or any group, have material that could inform our understanding or opinion on a political leader, then I believe we have the right to know it. The medium is up for debate but the information should be ours.
