  • The drinking age should be lowered to 18 in the United States.

The drinking age should be lowered in the United states for a number of reasons. At the age of 18 you are legally an adult. You get the privileges of dropping out of high school or start college, go to war or have a family. Your able to vote on things going on in the country. So if you have a say in government issues why cant you have a say on what you take into your own body?

  • Absolutely not! I'm against it.

When the drinking age here in the Bay State was lowered from 21 to 18, it was found that drinking among high school students increased, due to easier access to alcohol. Also, a teenager's brain is still developing and is more likely to suffer permanent damage as a result of excessive alcohol use.
