  • The government should be allowed to look at your personal files

The government should be allowed to look at your personal files without a warrant from you. Although the authorities may keep your personal phone calls, text messages and emails in store there is no reason to be worried about the government “spying” on you. There is no reason that you should be worried about the government looking at your files. There is no reason for you too be worried about your files being looked at and if the government can access everyone’s files than many criminals can be stopped or caught before or after a crime.

  • It is fundamental for security

Although this is a huge violation of the privacy, the government should be allowed to spy our tecnologies in order to prevent crimes and to create a safer country. Anyway the collected information should not be given to anybody except qualified government employees able to keep them secret; furthermore, as citizens we must now what types of informations the government is spying and any data not proving or being a clue to possible or effective crimes should be immediately deleted after being examined.

  • It would make the world a better place...

Knowing that the U.S. Government is trying to protect its citizens is better than having a government that does not care for its people. I would prefer a more honest government, yes, but nevertheless, I would also like one that wants to help the citizens in any way it can.

  • Safety over privacy

    1. It is a lesser of two evils.
    2. It does not affect my private life. The government does not look for random people to spy on. The government hopes to be spying on terrorist.
And yes i do agree that it is a power that can be easily abused. I hope that the way our government works and the integrity of man is enough to serve as safeguard.

  • Protection over privacy

Why do they spy on us and not the terrorist” and the answer is, how do we tell the difference? The standard terrorist is Arabian with beards, slightly brown skin and head wraps. In reality a terrorist can be anybody from a Caucasian teenage female to an adult African American male! They spy on us to point out and locate the terrorist

  • We don't know who's good or bad

Anyone around us could be a potential criminals. So, if the goverment is allowed to spy on us, it could be helping find the bad guys and see what people are doing on their respective devices or computers. They can already hack into almost anything, so would it be a crime if we allowed them to?

  • Security VS Privacy

I think that saying 'NO' is crazy. If you were to choose what would it be the privacy of your loved ones or the safety? Yes it is true that 3% of the people being spied per day are criminals. You may think 'By spying on us is going against our human rights' yes but of you think about (if you're not an atheist) God does it all the time. Also this is not a punishment because if you think everyone that heard that conversation is going to tell other people, why care they don't even know you. However, if someones says something like "transport Charlie over here..." 'Charlie' might be mistaken into 'Transport drugs over here' but the government go after a saying 'innocent until proven guilty' THANK YOU

  • There are crazy people

There are people out there that want to hurt or even kill people because they want to. This program already stopped 50 terrorist attacks. Anyway if you don't do anything wrong why should you be scared of them watching you. So stop hating the government and leave the government alone.

  • Spying doesn't work

Government spying on its citizens doesn't work. The civil rights issues are fairly clear, and the legal issues are questionable, but the easiest argument to make against domestic spying is that its been shown to be almost completely ineffectual at actually stopping anything its trying to stop, which makes it inherently not worth it.

  • No no no

Because its a major key to have trust in the states and without that trust then we cant follow each other on the journey to the pathway of success. They don't want us to win so we got to win more we got to be great and succeed and make sure you thank chef d at the end of the journey.

  • They have our identification already

If the government already knows all our social security numbers and already looks through the camera on our phone, why do the need to hear our conversations? They already know everything they need to know.As well as passing this bill will be a strict violation of the constitution because that is an invasion of our privacy as a society.Allowing the government to do this would slowly be taking away our freedom.

  • Privacy is something everyone deserves.

By the government having access to are private information makes people feel like there information is out in the open. I really don't need them knowing knowing my conversations with my mum about what i'm having for dinner like no. If the government suspect that someone is going to do something territory they then cant track their messages and movement PERSONALLY if the person is not a threat they then move on from them. As humans we should have a level of privacy, respect and dignity.

  • Spying is creepy

The government already knows enough about us. We do not need the government knowing our private information. We need the president to protect us. Not to watch us buy stuff and seize our bank accounts. If they knew every thing, this place would become north korea and that would not be very good.

  • The government should

Not spy on us because it's an invasion of privacy. If I wanted to use Google as a search engine, I wouldn't want to have all of my searches recorded. I mean sure, what if a bad guy wanted to hack or rob something and the government needed to know, then yeah.....
WHat about all the other people that aren't bad and just need to search something harmless? Then our searches shouldn't be recorded. Why be spied on anyway? Back then we didn't even have computers or any modern technology to spy on us, and it wasn't an issue. So why does 50 years make such a big difference? Why can't things stay the way they were?

  • Violating our privacy

By doing this they are violating our privacy! As U.S citizens we have the right to have privacy! They are treating us like outsiders and that is not right! They should only spy on people with criminal records or suspicious people not on everyone! There is no more privacy here in the U.S!

  • They have no right

Personally, I am not bothered that they do it but the fact that they feel the need to makes no sense. We should be in a land of the free and our privacy should be number one on that list. It almost feels like they are treating us like outsiders who are dangerous.

  • They have no right at all

They are breaking one of our human rights. Without this right we aren't a human at all. We lose our identity, with people behind us, watching all what we do, we have no freedom. The act of spying on someone not only invades their privacy, but also destroys their rights.
