Should the government give us what we need even if it's not what we want?

Asked by: Tenpus
  • Yes They should

They should do this because it was our fault for choosing it in the first place. We can learn from this in the future and think twice before making important dissensions. If you make a bad dissensions then we all got what we all deserved. VOTE FOR TRUMP MAKE AMERICA GRATE AGAIN.

  • The Government has already decided

It was our fault electing the people into office just like Obama. We didn't need a bad president but we got one anyway. And now that he is leaving, Clinton will take his place. Again we don't NEED a president that is a woman and just happens to be a liar and a terrible person but we are going to get one anyway.(because she has it rigged!) So at this point the government has said, YES And another example is that we don't need WW 3 but we are going to have it anyway.( with the next President)

  • The government is there to govern

Yes a government is given power by the people, but the government is there to protect and govern they also want whats best for you. Don't believe me look at the CDC, The laws against child endangerment and abuse, National Guard and National Security Agency (yes the NSA is unliked by many but their hearts are in the right place they just need a little reformation), lets use an analogy, You take a fork (Hillary Clinton) and you want to put it in a power outlet (the oval office) but your mother (the government) puts a outlet safety cover on It (Donald Trump). Do you complain or do you understand that they only want whats best for you which benefits not only you but them?

  • Yes it should

The government has a duty look after the rights and wellbeing of the population. This is a duty enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Furthermore, what good is the government if it does not act to protect the rights of its citizens and their most basic aspects of wellbeing.

  • Vote For Trump!!!

I agree that the government should give people what we need because we the people are able to make money for what we want but we should first make sure that our needs are taken care of before anything else and VOTE TRUMP because Hillary is such an evil lady and wants to raise taxes so that everyone is paying for abortion and the blood is on everyone's hand.

  • It destroys democracy.

The government should be controlled by the people. As soon as the government starts to go against our wants even if it's not what we need is when the government is no longer controlled by the people. The. The government should not dictate what we need. The government doesn't always know what we need.

  • Not the Governments purpose

  • Doesn't help the debt.

We're already 20 Trillion dollars in debt, that doesn't help us whatsoever. If we do this, America will be known as 'That country who doesn't pay their debt in over thirty years.' Yeah. That country. Don't make us look as bad as North Korea or Germany for God's sake. We don't need that in our lives.

  • That is not the purpose of government

The purpose of government in America is to serve the people, although that almost never happens. The senators are elected to serve their constituents rather than their political party but the system here is so corrupt on both sides of the aisle which is very sad. All in all if the government is not doing what we ask of them then they should be removed from office.
