Should the government impose regulations on coal plants?

  • Coal creates lots of carbon

i would have to agree with the fact that government should impose regulation on coal plants. As global warming is increasing and pollution is getting worse we need to make sure that carbon emmission is done in supervised zones. We have to consider lots of hazardous issues on coal producing plants.

  • CO2 emissions need to be in check.

First off, regulations are necessary for almost all businesses so they can't get away with harming consumers or the environment, and coal plants are no different. Certainly they provide energy, but if they can't do it without accelerating global warming then ultimately they're doing more harm than good and we should research alternative power.
